Lavender Oaks Farm – Pristine White Wedding Barn Amid a Lavender Farm on 60 Private Acres
Located in Chapel Hill, NC, Lavender Oaks Farm is a working lavender farm featuring several glorious acres of regal purple fields, woodland trails and historic refurbished barns. The barn venues overlook lavender fields and are used for elegant rustic Chapel Hill weddings and events.
This farm truly is a project of love that comes from owners Karen and Robert Macdonald. This husband and wife team purchased a 60 acre property in Chapel Hill with the vision of growing beautiful lavender fields. From there came the idea of creating a wedding and event venue. They carefully restored century old timber frame barns. The result is a an incredible setting for weddings and events. The MacDonalds thought of everything when they created the design – from luxury getting ready suites, to a caterer’s dream kitchen and even an area for their lavender shop! The main barn venue has a loft that allows for extra seating and also gives the barn an intimate feel. A secondary, open-air barn is available for wedding ceremonies or cocktail hour.
This hidden treasure is located less than 5 miles from downtown Chapel Hill, NC, and within minutes of the nearby cities of Raleigh and Durham. The team at Lavender Oaks has worked to create a refined rural setting that captivates visitors to experience the aromatic and aesthetic qualities of several lavender varieties and learn about the history and health benefits of this wonderful crop.
