Outer Banks Beach Wedding Inspiration at the Sanderling Resort
Today, we’re excited to share a shoot that highlights our state’s stunning Outer Banks area. Today’s post includes some never-before-seen photos of our Outer Banks bridal style shoot from Brian Mullins Photography!
North Carolina has one of the most beautiful coastal areas in the entire country, so finding a gorgeous location for a destination wedding is as easy as pie. The Outer Banks is known for its untouched coastline, pristine dunes and preserved natural environment.
We assembled a wonderful team of wedding professionals for a preppy-meets-rustic Outer Banks bridal style shoot for the 2014 edition of Southern Bride & Groom. The shoot highlights several features of the beautiful Sanderling Resort, which sits beachside, but also has an event space and gazebo pier on the sound side of the island of Duck, NC. The Resort has a variety of outdoor areas shielded from the ocean breeze by the coast’s dunes, perfect for mingling cocktail hours or romantic evenings as newlyweds.
Outer Banks Beach Wedding, NC Destination
The wide, clean beaches of the Outer Banks draw visitors from near and far. They make a beautiful location for an NC destination wedding.
S’mores by the Fire Pit at Sanderling Resort
After their Outer Banks beach wedding, the newlyweds share a private moment by the bonfire. Weather permitting, Sanderling Resort lights these fire pits every night and offers s’mores for their guests. Weddings can reserve one of the fire pits for their reception.
We’d like to give a huge shout out to the talented team of vendors who helped make this two-day shoot such a beautiful success, including: The Sanderling Resort, Brian Mullins Photography, Erin McLean Events (styling), Simply Put Vintage Rentals (furniture), CE Rental (linens and table setting), Tre Bella Flowers (floral design), Cute Buttons (menus and place cards), Tre Bella Bridal (Badgley Mischka bridal gown), Bernard’s Formalwear (tuxedo), Makeup for Your Day (hair and makeup), Diamonds Direct (jewelry), and One Belle Bakery (cakes).
