The Chase Collective: Husband-and-Wife Videography & Photography Team

Colby Chase was working as a church worship director and Whitney Chase was a nurse at Duke University Hospital when their paths first crossed. They tied the knot and, a few years later, Whitney began wedding photography as a side hustle. “It quickly became my passion that fueled me,” she says. The business grew rapidly thanks to Colby’s entrepreneurial spirit, and he joined Whitney as a videographer a few months later, after realizing how comfortable couples were when both of them were present during wedding days.

Seamless Integration of Wedding Photo & Video

The Chases seamlessly integrate photography and cinematography on wedding days. Whitney and Colby have worked together on more than 150 weddings, and have learned how to effectively capture video and photo content simultaneously, allowing couples to make the most of their special day and ensuring that no time is wasted. In addition, the final wedding galleries and films they deliver complement each other in style and tone.

Whitney’s Type A personality drives her to create personalized wedding day photography timelines, while Colby pushes creative boundaries to learn new processes. Together, the pair are continuously learning new techniques and working hard to better serve couples.
