Commission a Live Wedding Painting

When booking entertainment for your wedding, you’ve no doubt considered hiring a live band or a DJ, renting a photo booth, and maybe even reserving a food truck for the night, but what about hiring an accomplished artist to capture the day on canvas? A special way for a happy couple remember their first day of forever is to commission a live wedding painting.

This artist will come to the wedding reception and paint on-site, to the delight of your guests. To this extent, wedding painting can actually be considered a unique entertainment outlet for your guests.

Unique Wedding Entertainment: Live Wedding Painting in Raleigh

Wedding paintings were once extremely rare. Then, they became a bit of a trend. Now, they are here to stay. And with good reason! Live painters offer unique entertainment. Guests watch the painting come to life over the course of the event. But most importantly, it results in an original work of art that the couple keeps forever.

Today, there are several local live wedding painters. Each has their own, distinct style.

It involves hiring an artist to create a painting during the wedding ceremony or reception, capturing the essence of the event and the emotions of the day. The artist creates the painting on site, often in front of the guests, adding an element of excitement and entertainment to the event. At the end of the night, the newlyweds are presented with the completed painting as a unique and personal memento of their special day. Live painting at weddings is a creative and unique way to add a personal touch to your wedding and create a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

How Live Painting Works on the Wedding Day

The painting will be of a pre-determined moment. You and your painter will discuss this ahead of time. Here are some ideas:

  • the wedding ceremony vows
  • the venue itself
  • a portrait of the couple in front of the venue
  • the first dance

On the wedding day, the painter will bring their own set up and materials. However, you and your venue coordinator / wedding planner will need to have a specific place for the painter. That means both for “the moment” that they are capturing, as well as during the reception, which is when most of the painting will occur.

Also, consider a moment in the timeline for the painter to present the artwork to the couple. Since most of your guests have been eyeing their work throughout the night, this is a great touch!

There could not be a more special keepsake than an original work of art from your wedding day! We are so fortunate to be graced with a wonderful live wedding painter in the Raleigh Durham area of NC. Meet our favorite Raleigh NC live wedding painter, Ashley Triggiano.
