Cole and Kristina met at UNC where Cole was in the a cappella group, the Clefhangers. Even though Cole left NC to move to CA following graduation, they had a strong long distance relationship for three years before getting engaged and looking forward to the day they’d both live in the same state (currently residing in CA).

Cole took Kristina along on a business trip to London in 2015. During dinner at the Aqua Shard, at a table overlooking London, the waitress delivered an envelope of pictures to the table that told the story of their relationship – at the end, Cole was on his knee proposing and had the whole thing live streamed on Periscope so that all their family and friends back home could watch (he had announced it on Facebook and kept her from seeing it).

The began planning their Chapel Hill wedding at Top of the Hill, a place that was a huge part of their lives at UNC. They also involved another piece of UNC that was so meaningful to them – the Clefhangers!

“Danielle and her team at TOPO went out of their way to make our day perfect, down to the smallest details. Thanks to them, I was completely stress free on the day of the wedding, and the reception was above and beyond my expectations,” shares Kristina. “And they never fail to deliver amazing food! Everyone was raving about how it surpassed the stereotypical ‘bland’ wedding food.”

Of course, some of the UNC Clefhangers played a role in the big day. One of the groom’s best friends in the a cappella group graduated from Wake Forest Seminary school just in time for the wedding and was able to officiate the ceremony. Another best friend from the group, an established musician, played the piano at the ceremony.

The bride and groom were all smiles on their long-awaited wedding day!
