Anna & Clay’s Chapel Hill Love Story

Clay Ditty and Anna Stagg met in an adult kickball league in Chapel Hill. She was in graduate school at UNC; he was in a master’s program at Duke. Despite their rival university affiliations, they hit it off. During a vacation to Bald Head Island, the pair got caught in a late afternoon rainstorm on the beach. Bundled in towels and watching the sunset in a swing overlooking the marina, Clay proposed.

The couple knew they wanted to host a personal, intimate Chapel Hill wedding and enlisted Kast Events to help plan and design their day at the Parlour at Manns Chapel, a historic NC chapel venue.

The white walls and tall windows of the Parlour at Manns Chapel are a perfect backdrop, highlighted with greenery draped on the chandeliers. The warm tones such as copper chairs and candlesticks, by Cottage Luxe, along with the rouge marsala color theme, and navy with gold foil menus, made the space feel extra cozy. To top off the design, bottles of red wine became part of the decor for the wedding dinner. The space and design combine perfectly for an intimate wedding reception!
