Working at Southern Bride & Groom during the year I was planning my wedding was a blessing and a curse. Day after day I would stumble on the most beautiful weddings and receptions and constantly change my mind on what I envisioned being the theme of my wedding. But I always came back to the same conclusion – my fiance (now husband) and I wanted a simplistic vibe that utilized the natural beauty of the Wilmington NC wedding venue that we fell in love with. Staying true to our vision, we had a natural chic Wrightsville Manor wedding that was perfectly us.

With the incredible help of our planner, Ashley of Fiore Fine Flowers, who also did the flowers, and the impeccable photographic eye of Sarah D’Ambra Photography, we won’t stop dreaming about our wedding day anytime soon.

Leanne Marshall Gown From Gilded Bridal is A Boho Bride’s Dream

The moment I walked into Gilded Bridal, a bridal shop based in the Glenwood Ave neighborhood of Raleigh, I had the biggest smile on my face. Susan could not have been more helpful and patient with me when I saw the shop. I had an image in my mind of the dress I wanted and it turned out I didn’t like it at all. Susan helped me pick out my dream wedding gown, the Leanne Marshall “McKenna” gown, without going over my budget. Also, it has to be said that Gilded Bridal is one of the cutest most instagrammable salons I’ve ever seen. You will have the time of your life playing dress up and drinking champagne!

I didn’t have the traditional group of bridesmaids that most brides have and stuck with one official Maid of Honor. She wore a Show Me Your Mumu gown in a floral pattern that perfectly went with our natural chic vibe for our Wrightsville Manor wedding.

Floral Groom’s Attire for Wrightsville Manor Wedding

My husband’s one caveat for wearing a traditional suit instead of his Dress Blues for the Marine Corp was that he got to wear a fun tie. We decided a floral tie for the groom and his best man would pair beautifully with the flowers and natural chic theme of the Wrightsville Manor wedding day.

One Stop Shop Wilmington NC Wedding Planner and Wedding Florist – Fiore Fine Flowers

At the Wrightsville Manor, you are required to have, at the very least, a day-of-coordinator for your wedding. I was definitely one of those brides who thought I could do it all myself and I am now the married girl who tells all her engaged friends that you NEED to get a wedding planner. Wilmington NC based wedding planner Fiore Fine Flowers were actual angels. Ashley helped with every detail beforehand and on site of our wedding day.

It was our lucky day that Fiore was a planner and wedding florist designer in Wilmington. They had already done weddings at Wrightsville Manor which made life so much easier. Fiore Fine Flowers made our wedding day an absolutely beautiful affair and kept everything running perfectly! We didn’t have to worry about any detail during the day, which is really all you can wish for as a bride.

Simplistic Natural Chic Wedding Reception at The Wrightsville Manor

We knew that we wanted our guests to feel as comfortable and have as much fun as possible at our wedding reception. Our major goal was to make sure that our personalities weren’t lost on the idea of the perfect wedding. We incorporated breakfast for dinner, long family-style tables, and mimosa and bloody mary signature cocktails. The large indoor space at Wrightsville Manor is ideal for wedding receptions or indoor weddings. The ceilings are sky high and already draped in linen and hanging chandeliers, the built-in bar is a chic staple in the room and the fireplace and mantle is a picturesque backdrop.
