Warehouse Wedding Decor Idea: University Florist Designs a Tabletop at The Durham Cookery with Pink Flowers and Greenery Springing from Every Angle

University Florist was keen on designing something natural and unique for The Cookery‘s industrial event space. Their mix of modern and romantic, wild runaway greenery and artful arrangements is both vogue and verdant. The centerpiece is composed of a diverse assortment of blooms, ivy and succulents. This colorful composition pops against the metal and wood tabletop decor, as well as the brick and iron elements that in the downtown Durham warehouse wedding venue.

Industrial Wedding Tabletop in Vibrant Colors, by University Florist and Durham Rental Companies

University Florist is a staple of Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. Their multi generational florist team has served Triangle Area weddings for decades. Lead artist Henry House designed an edgy industrial wedding tabletop look at The Cookery, a downtown Durham warehouse venue. A farm table and metal chairs from American Party Rentals blended with the ambiance of The Cookery. The table display was paired with an Edison bulb chandelier from Get Lit., a lighting specialist in Durham. With decor from below and above, greenery and vibrant colors spring from every angle.

The tabletop itself also complement the industrial look. Silver chargers and dishware ring true to the metallic theme. Rusty orange napkins also pull in the warm, wooden tones. Talented stationer Blush & Blue Designs hand-painted place cards and fabric menus in the same color palette. Have you ever seen a more swoon worthy menu? We love the final touch of the votive vases with sprigs of varying blooms.

Warehouse Wedding Decor Idea – Floral Chandelier Draped in Greenery is a Magic Touch

If you look closely, you’ll spot round yellow flowers in the bed of succulents as well as hanging from the floral chandelier. Formally called Craspedia but also known as billy balls, these yellow pops of color descend from greenery-laden Edison bulbs to nearly meet those rising from the tabletop’s floral runner. We love that for University Florist, ivy was the greenery of choice.

Get the Looks – Stephen and Claire Guentz in Modern Wedding Fashion Styled by Raleigh and Durham Pros

Local Raleigh Blogger Claire Guentz posed with her husband Stephen Guentz as our bride and groom. It happened to be their one year anniversary month when we did the photo shoot, which was a fun thing to celebrate.

Bride Claire looked amazing in the Flora wedding dress from Alexia’s, a couture Raleigh bridal boutique. The sheer lace bodice and long sleeves are sensual and sweet at the same time. Claire’s wedding hair and makeup were created by the downtown Durham team at Bella Trio, which is right down the street from The Cookery, in American Tobacco Campus. The gorgeous earrings from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry really stand out with Claire’s up-do.

Groom Stephen also looks stellar in this vignette. This grey and black jacket may have been my favorite formalwear look of the day. It is from Bernard’s, a tux rental shop on Ninth Street in Durham, which also has suits for purchase.
