Located in Midtown, the heart of Raleigh’s premier shopping and restaurant destinations, the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel has it all. Newly renovated, the hotel has been designed to create an experience for guests that is both luxurious and chic. Bride Megan loved the newly redesigned interior of the hotel and new it would make for a whimsical wedding venue. It was important to Megan and Patrick that their guests could have a place to celebrate and sleep at their Raleigh wedding. Simple, chic, and timeless were the three wishes for Bride Megan’s wedding day dreams. White flowers and greenery added a touch of fresh accessories to the hotel’s already beautiful interior design. Someone Threw a Love Potion into the Boston Harbor!

Have you ever attended a wedding as a single person and thought to yourself, “When is it going to be my turn?” You quickly scan the crowd for someone who looks close to your age and cute. If you find this scenario relatable, then you’ll understand the beginning of Megan and Patrick’s love story. The two met while attending a mutual friends wedding in Boston. Fast forward to Megan taking a weekend trip back to Boston to visit friends. Coincidentally, Patrick and his friends showed up at every place Megan and her friends visited. Sound suspicious? The two lovebirds started dating and one day while sitting by the Boston Harbor, Patrick popped the question. After Megan said yes a boat magically appeared and escorted the engaged couple out onto the water for drinks and a sunset. Another coincidence? Love works in mysterious ways y’all.

The newly renovated Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel features guest rooms furnished with luxurious, modern furniture and extraordinary pieces of artwork. Megan and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done in a chic and calming atmosphere. Megan’s mother helped her step into a stunning silhouette bridal gown, Essense of Australia from New York Bride and Groom. The bridal gown accentuated Megan’s neck with a white lace sweetheart neckline and delicate lace straps that connected to a sheer back with lace flowers and buttons. Megan chose soft mint green tea-length bridesmaids dresses for her friends that provided comfort and charm. The groomsmen stepped out in clean cut navy blue suits and dapper black ties.

Simple, Chic, and Timeless Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel Wedding Ceremony

Megan and Patrick said ‘I do’ before a sheer white backdrop and fresh eucalyptus garland. The crisp white and green decor transformed the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel into a modern Garden of Eden. Gorgeous overflowing bouquets of white blossoms and greenery framed the altar symmetrically. At the center of the room a magnificent chandelier cast a warm glow on the entire wedding ceremony. Megan and Patrick were so grateful that all of their closest friends and family were able to share in such a special moment in their relationship. And we can not forget the most honorary guest in attendance, Duke, the family Boston Terrier! Duke smiled wide for the camera in a few wedding portraits that Megan and Patrick will cherish forever.

Following the wedding ceremony guests made their way to Megan and Patrick’s reception. Thankfully, they didn’t have to go far! The Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel provided a reception space and catering for the happy couple. Gorgeous chandeliers matched the gold, cream, and green wedding design. Eucalyptus leaves, delicately placed by Megan’s mother, gave the wedding reception a whimsical tea garden feel.
