Romance and Adventure at Brown Mountain Beach Resort 

Bernie the bulldog may have almost stolen the show. However, nothing could top Rebecca in her gorgeous gown, her handsome husband and the river view behind them. Brown Mountain Beach Resort (BMBR) was the perfect venue for the couple since they wanted a long-weekend getaway filled with romance and adventure. 

While the couple now lives in Chicago, the two met in Raleigh in 2010. For their wedding, they wanted to return to the state where their love story began. Another must-have for Rebecca and Charlie was a venue that would allow them to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family. Kelsey Wallace at BMBR made this happen along with all of the couple’s wedding dreams.

Hidden Gem NC Wedding Venue 

Rebecca and Charlie along with 55 of their guests stayed in cabins and yurts right on Wilson Creek. They loved how everyone was within walking distance to one another on-site. The day before the wedding, everyone went rafting down the river. Then on September 7, 2019 (the big day!) the couple along with their closest friends and family started their day with a beautiful hike in the heart of the Pisgah National Forest. 

Rebecca said that it’s so easy to get stuck in the mindset that wedding planning is stressful. However, with BMBR, you can make your day exactly what you want without any stress. Rebecca sent Kelsey her vision and Kelsey made it happen. Even all the way from Chicago, Rebecca felt that the process was almost effortless. 

In addition to a picturesque outdoor setting, the interior of BMBR is equally amazing. Rebecca and Charlie actually chose to say “I do” inside in the Rock Pavillion next to the fireplace. They made the ceremony even more special with their dear friend Sidney officiating the wedding.

Not only did she capture the special moments that they shared with Bernie, but every single part of the wedding was documented beautifully. Jillian’s attention to detail is unmatched.
