Under the Oak Catering – Roots in Clayton, North Carolina
Chef Blake Gotliffe founded Under the Oak farm in spring 2015 to grow the freshest organic vegetables his family could have access to. The 3,000-square-foot sustainable farm is tucked behind his home, in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Clayton, North Carolina. This hobby farm sparked an idea to begin hosting private dinners and catered events, which, in 2017, grew into the award-winning, full-service catering company Under the Oak is now.
Under the Oak Catering strives to deliver five-star food and service for any event, large or small. From upscale Southern faves to sophisticated themed menus, Under the Oak does it all! This catering team also is also dedicated to minimizing food waste. Under the Oak delivers weekly meals to families in need to divert leftover food from becoming waste.

Q: What is your team’s signature dish?
A: Our braised beef short rib with a red wine and rosemary demi-glace and garlic whipped potatoes. As well as our housemade charcuterie.
