The Skyroom: Newly Opened NC Wedding Venue

The Skyroom is a new wedding venue located in Moncure, North Carolina – a town in Chatham County just outside of Pittsboro, NC – that will begin hosting events and weddings in summer 2025!

This family-owned venue is a labor of love for Jen Shaefer and her father, Mark, who have been living in the Triangle for many years. Jen has been helping to plan intentional events for the past decade, while dreaming of opening her own modern, thoughtfully designed event venue. The Skyroom is the culmination of her efforts to build a modern gathering space that gives guests the feel of Southern splendor and charm.

Modern Industrial NC Wedding Venue on 10 Acres

The Skyroom sits on 10 picturesque acres of land in beautiful Chatham County, North Carolina. This 7,000-square-foot industrial modern wedding venue features large glass walls that allow for sweeping views of North Carolina’s countryside. The main ceremony space can seat 250 guests. There are also two bright, airy getting-ready suites inside the venue, ideal for spending quality time with your loved ones while you prep and prime the morning of your wedding.

As an additional perk, The Skyroom provides amenities including heaters, shade umbrellas, ceremony and reception chairs for up to 200, round and rectangular tables and a lounge set. There’s even a dedicated child care space where the little ones can hang out while you say your vows!
