After a Beach Proposal, This Couple Chose a Neutral Summer Wedding Theme
Kaley was raised in Sanford, North Carolina, and Brunswick, Maine. She met Alex, a native of New Bern, North Carolina, on a dating app, as many modern couples do. Their love story took them to Maine, where Alex proposed to Kaley beachside during a trip to visit Kaley’s family. Kaley was surprised and delighted, and the couple’s families were overjoyed to be present for the special moment. The couple then started the planning process, with hopes of achieving a natural summer wedding theme to share with family and friends.
Neutral Details at This Summer Wedding
Kaley and Alex said their vows at The Maxwell in Raleigh, surrounded by loved ones. Kaley looked stunning in a Martina Liana gown from Carolina Bridal World, and Alex looked dapper in his suit from Men’s Wearhouse.
Premier Party Planners’ Tara Ruffier organized the day flawlessly, using dusty sage with hints of blue and ivory were used for decor, florals, and other details. Lilac Floral Decor provided beautiful arrangements, and Berneys Bakery supplied the delicious cake.
Aline Botti Photography Helps Clients Feel Natural in Front of the Lens
Aline Botti of Aline Botti Photography captured the nuptials on camera. “We met [Aline] before the wedding [when she photographed] our engagement shoot, and as two people who don’t love pictures, Aline made us feel comfortable and got beautiful shots!” Kaley says. “She listened to us and got all of the pictures we wanted on our wedding day while still leaving us time to enjoy the cocktail hour.”
Weddings by LDF captured the day on video. Kaley and Alex’s guests danced the night away to the sounds of DJ Ones, and the dance floor was packed from start to finish.
For Kaley, the highlight of the evening was sharing a private last dance with Alex before making a dramatic exit veiled in bubbles and smoke.
