NC Wedding Vendors Capture Bridgerton Wedding Day Aesthetic
Last year, the pandemic had many of us searching for an escape and the Netflix original television series Bridgerton offered the perfect outlet. Set in England in the early 1800s, Bridgerton follows the fictional lives of the most notable British families of the era, including new Duchess Daphne Bridgerton. Although the tea may be piping hot in this period drama, it’s the fashion and lifestyle of the characters that took the world by storm.
Hoop skirts, lace details and frothy gowns bring the show to life, and have us wishing we could run through ancient castles wearing such stunning ensembles. What better way to live out those fantasies than on your wedding day? Check out this Bridgerton-inspired wedding day aesthetic for inspiration!
Choose Your Bridgerton-Inspired Wedding Venue
The Providence Cotton Mill provided the perfect vintage backdrop for this shoot. When selecting your wedding venue, go for a country house with plenty of outdoor space. Fields of green and rolling hills mimic the British countryside, and you’ll have amazing pictures.
Sydney Bien-Aime of Radiant Photography by Sydney Danielle captured stunning shots of the couple on horseback, surrounded by dreamy forests and in front of a golden sunset. The Merrimon-Wynne House or Rose Hill Estate are both excellent options for equally stunning manor-style locations. Click here for our list of recommended North Carolina wedding venues.
A Wedding Dress Fit for a Duchess
The bride looked dreamy in two different bridal gowns, both by Ever’s Bridal Boutique. When selecting dresses for a Bridgerton wedding day extravaganza, go for delicate beading, petite florals and intricate detailing on full skirts. Tight, corset style bodices add structure for a voluptuous hourglass figure. Gauzy veils and delicate pearl jewelry completed the regal look.
Full floral arrangements with winding greenery added life to this Bridgerton-inspired styled shoot. PS Floral Designs crafted gorgeous towers of greenery and florals, dainty centerpieces and a matching bouquet for the bride. Purple flowers made a splash, coupled with white accents dashed throughout. When making a floral selection for yourself, ask your florist what is in season. A Bridgerton bride would go for the freshest options, focusing on floral designs that look effortless yet regal. When in doubt, go for wildflowers with plenty of greenery. Delectable Desserts for a Bridgerton Wedding Day
It’s not a wedding fit for royalty without carefully curated cuisine. This Bridgerton wedding day featured a stunning white and gold cake, complete with faux floral accents of wisteria and topped with white roses. Towers of iced pastries topped tables, which were set with golden tableware. Charcuterie boards with fruit and meat were perfect finger food options. But most impressive of all was an entertainer’s hoop skirt. Pink roses and delicate jewels framed the structure of the skirt, which was designed to support dozens of full drinking glasses.
When making your own choices of what food to include, remember that the little details matter. Going for a few quality desserts is key. Jelly donuts, miniature cakes and small iced cookies are excellent choices, along with fruit and other finger foods.
