Sarah and Sam knew one thing was certain about their wedding day and that was that they wanted everyone to appreciate just how much the day encapsulated them as a couple. Every detail that went into the day was a symbol of the pair. From the venue that they picked to the color scheme, Sarah and Sam, with the help of wedding planner Kast Events & Company, created a picturesque Chapel Hill farm wedding celebration at Rock Quarry Farm.
Sarah and Sam were set up on a blind date by a former co-worker of Sam’s who just so happened to be a current co-worker of Sarah. If that isn’t kismet, what is? Sam knew she was the real deal and that he was going to marry her. While away for a weekend escape from the Brooklyn, they went on a hiking trip out of town. While walking in and taking the sight of Sleepy Hollow, NY, they stopped to take pictures. One of those photos was a selfie in which Sam insisted they close their eyes and to Sarah’s surprise, the photo revealed him holding a ring.
We love when brides don their bridesmaids in white bridesmaids dresses. Sarah wore a most gorgeous plunging v-neckline gown with a sleek satin material. Her bridesmaids matched in white mid-length bridesmaid gowns, but in a variety of styles. The entire group together could not have been more beautiful. Sam and his groomsmen wore sharp navy suits, paired with navy ties. The wedding party nailed their attire 10/10 for their Chapel Hill farm wedding.
Between the bride and bridesmaids beautiful white bouquets, the ceremony chuppah floral arrangements and the wedding receptions flowers that were all-encompassing of the wedding theme colors, Bowerbird Flowers designed each and every piece for this Rock Quarry Farm wedding with precision and creativity. Bowerbird Flowers is a local wedding florist based out of Durham but servicing all Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and beyond weddings. They are known for their eclectic and unique eye in floral design – which is evident in Sam and Sarah’s Chapel Hill farm wedding.
Chapel Hill wedding planner, Kast Events & Company, knocked it out of the park. Cheryl-Anne Kast brought every bit of the couple’s vision to life for their Rocky Quarry Farm wedding.
The bride shared, “We knew from the first conversation with Kast Events & Co that Cheryl-Anne understood what we wanted out of our wedding and she made it possible for us. She made the planning process as stress-free as possible and she helped us execute the day of our dreams.”
Sarah shared with us her favorite moment from their wedding day, “my favorite moment was when I was standing at the Chuppah listening to Sam read his vows and I realized that we had written the same vows unknowingly. Since we had agreed that we would write them on our own and not share them until the day of the wedding, I had no idea what to expect. Every night, I ask Sam to give me three reasons that he loves me before we go to bed. I rooted my vows in the three reasons that I love him most. It turns out that he had written his vows based on the three reasons that he loves the most and our 2 out of our 3 reasons were the same. It was perfect and made me feel even more strongly that Sam was the person that I should marry.”
The reception at Rock Quarry Farm was held in a beautiful aged barn and transformed into a chic affair. The decor was brought to life with the couples colors, navy, dusty blue, white and rose gold. The barn was draped in gorgeous hanging lights, by Get Lit Event Lighting, that twinkled above the dance floor and tables. The tables were a mix of dusty blue linen and exposed wood with matching runners. Every detail of the tablescape was meticulously planned and executed absolutely beautifully.
