Glam Burgundy and Gold Design by An Event Lady Production
Tearrieny met Theodore in 2008 while they were stationed at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. The couple dated for two years before both were deployed to Afghanistan. Upon return, they found themselves stationed at different locations, leading to a temporary separation before rekindling their romance over Facebook messaging in 2015.

Theodore popped the big question about two years later while they were celebrating Tearrieny’s birthday in Las Vegas. “He called my three brothers and asked them for my hand in marriage,” Tearrieny says. “That meant the world to me.” The pair wed at a nearby chapel the next day.

Classy Vow Renewal at The Grand Marquise Ballroom
On Dec. 4, 2022 – their fifth anniversary – the two held a classy vow renewal at the Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner, North Carolina, to commemorate their partnership among loved ones. Tearrieny was excited to plan her wedding after being the claimed planner of the family. However, she sought a planner to help with all the small details.

“I didn’t want to be overwhelmed the day of, and since I’d never planned anything of this magnitude before, I felt a professional would be necessary to guide and assist me,” she says. An Event Lady Production founder Angela B. Cameron orchestrated a design focused on burgundy, gold and champagne tones with rentals from Curated Events Raleigh.

The reception prioritized sentimental moments, like dances with parents and a memorial table to honor late relatives. The couple cut into a spectacular five-tier custom wedding cake from Cake Couture Boutique.

“Don’t focus on impressing your guests,” Tearrieny advises other couples. “You and your partner are the ones putting in the time, energy and money.” In a full-circle moment, the pair now lives at Fort Gregg-Adams, where they first met.
