The Story Event Venue on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, NC

The Story is Chapel Hill’s newest wedding and event venue, with a powerful story behind it. Opened in 2021, The Story Venue is owned by the popular Chapel Hill staple, Mediterranean Deli & Catering. Of course, this means that you can take advantage of Med Deli’s fantastic, extensive catering menu for your event, but The Story also happily allows outside caterers at the event space.

The Story is across from the beautiful campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is surrounded by classic UNC restaurants, shops and more. With multiple options across three floors, topped with amazing rooftop views of Franklin Street and Downtown Chapel Hill, The Story will capture the hearts of Carolina fans and wedding guests alike.

Three Floors of Beautiful, Versatile Event Space

The Story’s three floors were recently renovated to offer beautiful, versatile spaces for any upcoming event. The maximum capacity for rental of the entire building is 350 guests.  However, guests can choose to rent only part of the facility as well.

Exposed bricks and Edison bulb light fixtures adorn each floor of The Story Venue. Hardwood floors, natural light from large windows, and modern iron staircases throughout highlight the charm of the building while also creating a blank canvas for you to make your vision come to life. And of course, one of the highlights of the building is the covered rooftop space that provides a year round outdoor space for ceremonies or cocktail hours.
