Rose & Judson’s Waterfront Wedding Night

Rose and Judson’s Downtown Historic New Bern, NC Wedding

A New Bern Wedding Planned by The French Bee Events

Rose and Judson said ‘I do’ in downtown historic New Bern on May 1, 2021. They hired local wedding planners Anne Griggs and Christa Tarver of  The French Bee Events. They are a New Bern-based wedding planning and floral design service known for their perfectly executed weddings and incredible flower displays for all events.

The French Bee Events and the couple spent months planning and organizing their special day! With the wedding based in Historic New Bern, NC they wanted a bohemian yet coastal feel for their wedding, by incorporating neutrals and greenery. From little details to major aspects of the wedding, everything was ready to celebrate and remember the day forever. Keep scrolling to witness more of Rose and Judson’s memorable wedding.

Surprise Proposal in Charlotte, NC

With their first date in Charlotte, NC in 2016 it was just the beginning of Rose and Judson’s love story. From running dates in Myers Park to spending lots of time at Legion Brewing, Rose and Judson are a prime example of love! In May 2018 they moved and settled into Judson’s hometown, New Bern. The weekend after Thanksgiving 2019 changed everything. Judson organized a special afternoon at one of their favorite Charlotte spots, Legion Brewing. With friends surrounding them, he got down on one knee and asked the most important question of their lives!

Historic New Bern Wedding

Rose and Judson wanted a waterfront wedding reception with a unique style. They went with a coastal meets bohemian theme including pampas grass, woven chandeliers and a neutral color scheme throughout the space at Persimmons Restaurant. Rose and Judson wanted their wedding details to reflect their personalities as well as their love for the water. A neon blue sign broadcasted their last name and matched the blue lights on the family boat that was docked at The Persimmons for the night.

After working with The French Bee Events, Rose shares “Christa knows every local vendor and is definitely someone you want on your team! Christa & Anne worked hard to make sure everything went according to plan.”

There was no better place to exchange their vows than, The First Presbyterian Church holding family ties to the church since 1966. Judson’s pastor, Reverend Lloyd Griffith, led a personalized wedding ceremony.

Another sentimental addition to Rose and Judson’s special day was a delivery from Legion Brewing – a keg of their favorite beer to share with everyone during their reception.
