Leah & Andrew’s City Celebration

The coronavirus pandemic may have put spring/summer wedding season on hold, but love is not canceled! Today we celebrate the resiliency of our community by throwing it back to Leah Rosenberg and Andrew Strom’s downtown Raleigh wedding by Danielle Flake Photography. May we all use this extra downtime to lean into one another’s support, maintaining proper social distance of course! Speaking of extra time, why not dive deeper into wedding planning?

Downtown Raleigh offers the perfect combination of traditional and modern. In 2018, Leah and Andrew mixed new and old by hosting their wedding ceremony at Vintage Church followed by an intimate reception. Prior to their wedding, Andrew spent months searching for the perfect engagement ring – a vintage, art deco ring adorned with emerald gemstones! Not only did Leah say ‘yes’ to Andrew’s marriage proposal, she used the engagement ring as inspiration for her wedding style and theme! Emerald green set the jewel tone color palette for Leah’s vintage downtown Raleigh wedding.

Silverceiling Beauty Consulting gave the bride an elegant updo and romantic shade of eyeshadow. Based in Raleigh, Silverceiling’s team includes some of the best airbrush artists and hairstylists in NC. Each makeup look and hairstyle they create is specifically customized for the individual! Leah chose flowers with deep, vibrant hues of purples, pinks, reds, yellows and greenery. The jewel tone bouquets popped against emerald green bridesmaids dresses.

Downtown Raleigh Wedding Ceremony at Vintage Church

The bride and groom said “I do” at Vintage Church in downtown Raleigh. Danielle Flake Photography captured the historic white chapel as it popped against a clear blue sky. Jewel tone flowers and blush fabric draped the wedding arbor. Leah’s favorite moment from the day took place at the ceremony.

“My favorite moment was sharing our vows because they were so meaningful, emotional and heartfelt. Andrew truly shared his heart and soul with me on a deep, spiritual, level,” Leah recalls.

Even though Leah and Andrew’s dog, Cash, couldn’t attend the wedding festivities, they included images of their beloved pet in wedding decor! Friends of the couple created a signature cocktail sign featuring an illustration of Cash and they purchased a dog cake topper on Etsy. Andrew’s favorite moment from the day was entering the reception, because it felt incredible to be surrounded by all the people they love.
