Architectural Warehouse Venue in Durham – The Cotton Room
The Cotton Room, one of the very first renovated spaces at the historic Golden Belt District, is an elegant, refurbished warehouse venue. Once a working cotton factory, the venue’s beautiful exposed brick, arched windows and timeless architecture now offer a unique event space for up to 400 guests. The Cotton Room also provides all-inclusive services, including in-house catering, event management, customizable bar menus and much more to ensure your perfect day as smooth as possible.


Funky Warehouse Venue – a Gem in Downtown Durham
The former Durham Food co-op building has been transformed into a spacious warehouse with an enormous ballroom, cobblestoned outdoor courtyard, private garden and a front room with 20-foot ceilings and a mezzanine. With 12,000-square-feet of unique and roomy space, The Cookery can host large weddings throughout its indoor and outdoor areas, though intimate Durham weddings and rehearsal dinners can also be held on the patio and its front room.


The Front Room boasts 20-foot ceilings and a wide front window that bathes the room in golden, natural light. This space includes a built-in bar and a staircase leading to a unique mezzanine – perfect for a photo booth! Both showcase vintage iron work – the core of The Cookery’s unique personality. There is also a chalkboard wall available for your wedding artist to add a unique touch or create a dance floor backdrop. The main ballroom can accommodate more than 250 guests – complete with brick walls and vintage lighting – giving the ballroom an industrial feel. In addition, a private bridal suite is attached to the ballroom.

The Rickhouse – a warehouse wedding venue with views of the Historic Durham Bulls Athletic Park – offers indoor space that comfortably seats 400 guests as well as a covered concrete balcony. Located in the Central Park District, this Durham venue is located just a few blocks from the center of downtown. Beautiful exposed brick walls, a large chalkboard, a furnished private suite and floor-to-ceiling glass windows make the space special for any wedding.

Durham’s Premier Museum Event Venue
Exchange vows with a gorgeous monarch butterfly landing on your shoulder in The Museum of Life and Science‘s butterfly house, in a treehouse or amid vibrant natural scenery. The Durham museum offers five different “wonder-themed” packages for couples to pick from. Each package offers a distinct variety of museum exhibits and the chance for entertaining add-ons like animal encounters. While seating capacities vary for each exhibit, the museum can host seated receptions for up to 180 people total.


The John Sprunt Hill House Durham
This historic home just outside of Durham’s city center has something unique to offer local couples. Hill House‘s Spanish Revival architecture is unlike any other venue in the Triangle. This grand venue, operated by the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties is equipped to host gatherings of up to 200. This circa 1940s industrial warehouse has been renovated to hold up to 200 guests seated or 300 standing. The Lincoln holds a wealth of charm and character, with decades of history in the Bull City, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The venue’s 800-square-foot mezzanine overlooks a spacious 7,500-square-foot gathering space, boasting a bow roof, high ceiling and original steel trusses for a sleek, yet industrial feel.
