Hallie & Griffin’s Cool-Toned Spring Wedding

This Eastern NC Venue Was the Perfect Spring Wedding Backdrop

Griffin and Hallie tied the knot in a late spring wedding at Rose Hill Estate on June 16, 2024.

The Greenville, North Carolina, natives met at their freshman high school orientation, but it wasn’t until their junior year of college – when the pandemic forced both Griffin and Hallie to move back to their hometown from Appalachian State University and UNC, respectively – that the pair officially began dating in March 2020. Three years later, Griffin proposed on Hallie’s birthday on June 30, 2023, while the couple were spending time with her family in Indian Beach, North Carolina.

The Dream Eastern NC Wedding Venue

Rose Hill Estate was the second location the couple toured while seeking a venue for their spring wedding. “As soon as we drove up to the house, we knew it was where we were supposed to get married,” Hallie says. “Jackie Turner, the manager, was a joy to work with and made the entire process seamless!”

Romantic Photography by Danielle Flake

Val Conger of Your Perfect Day handled all things wedding planning and florals, and the rest of the couple’s vendors – like photographer Danielle Flake and music from Attraction with Sam Hill Entertainment – added an extra level of magic to their day. “As soon as we met [Danielle] during our engagement photo session, we knew we had made the right choice,” Hallie says. “On our wedding day, she was efficient and encouraging – frequently fanning Griffin and I in the June North Carolina heat.”

Elegant Rose Hill Ballroom Wedding

The venue was decorated in shades of light blue and green, with plenty of personalized details, including custom cornhole boards that provided entertainment for guests at the reception and cocktail stirrers decorated with their golden doodle, Rory.

Hallie turned heads in a classic Lela Rose gown from Alexia’s Bridal Boutique with hair and makeup by Chelsea Reagan. Bridesmaids wore sky blue dresses by Hayley Paige Occasions from Bella Bridesmaids Raleigh and groomsmen donned suits from Russell’s of Washington. The ceremony was filled with the sweet sounds of Arioso Strings – setting a holy tone for their day with a wide selection of mostly religious songs. “My favorite wedding moment was the second I saw Griffin as I rounded the corner to go up the aisle,” Hallie says. “It was a moment I had dreamed of for years, and it was better than I could’ve imagined.”

After the ceremony, guests dined on hors d’oeuvres, a meal from Rocky Top Catering and dessert from Ashley Cakes, and the couple’s guests raved about how delicious everything was. “All of the food was perfect,” Hallie said. “The Rocky Top Catering team was efficient and friendly, and they had lots of great options to choose from.”

Advice from the Bride

“Try to remember that you are not only planning a wedding, but more importantly, you are preparing for a marriage,” Hallie says. The couple now live in Fayetteville where Hallie will attend Methodist University’s physician assistant program, while Griffin works as a project manager for SteelFab.
