Engagement Party Inspiration

Engagement Party Design by Virtue Events at The Glass Box

Love is always on the brain here at Heart of NC Weddings. Imagine the possibilities of planning a romantic wedding … red roses, handwritten love letters and candlelit dinner tables. We’re here to tell you that your engagement party can be equally as romantic as the big day! That’s why we’re sharing inspiration from one of our favorite engagement party designs. Orchestrated by NC wedding and event planning team, Virtue Events, this styled shoot features local celebrity Joshua Gunn and his wife Charity Amanda Gunn.

Joshua, aka J. Gunn, is an international recording artist who has represented the best of North Carolina hip hop since he was a teenager. Not only is he an award winning artist, but he is also a business owner, festival founder, community advocate, father and husband! Witness Joshua’s love for his wife Charity and their daughter Harlem in photos from this romantic styled engagement party.

Kick-Off Your Wedding Festivities with Virtue Events

Throwing an engagement party is a fun way to kick-off wedding festivities while also breaking the ice between the couple’s family and friends. Engagement parties can be big or small and can be hosted by the couple or for the couple. Leave it to Virtue Events to plan an engagement party that is both timeless and memorable.

Virtue Events owner and chief event designer Joye Speight, and her team bring creativity, experience and intentionality to every event. Whether it’s an intimate engagement party or a large-scale wedding, Virtue Events strives for excellence through high intention to detail and skillful execution.

We absolutely love the elegant black, white and red color palette they selected for this romantic soiree. Orchid and rose floral arrangements and black sequin linens complement each other against the blank canvas event space.

The Glass Box – Intimate Downtown Raleigh Event Venue

If you’re planning a wedding in Raleigh, you’ve probably already heard of local venue favorite, The Stockroom at 230. But have you heard of The Stockroom’s little sister, The Glass Box? Located on the 5th Floor of The Carolina Trust Building, The Glass Box is filled with natural light and luxury amenities.

This romantic petite venue is well suited for small wedding events like bridal showers, engagement parties, or even rehearsal dinners. The minimalist design of the space is perfect for hosting an event of any style or theme. Best of all, one of the window-walls of The Glass Box leads to an outdoor patio. So, if it’s a nice day, guests can step outside for a lovely respite. The patio also provides a perfect urban location for memorable outdoor wedding portraits in front of the downtown Raleigh skyline!

Under Phase 3 COVID-19 guidelines, The Glass Box can accommodate 14 guests. Capacity limits subject to change under future executive orders.
