Family Fun Wedding at All Saints Chapel in Raleigh

It’s Wedding Feature Wednesday at Southern Bride & Groom! Today we’re excited to share Claire and Kursad’s family fun wedding at All Saints Chapel in Raleigh!

Claire and Kursad joke that they met the way everyone seems to meet nowadays…online! With Kursad working from home and Claire raising her daughter, both had limited chances to get out and meet new people. Kursad peaked Claire’s interest with a funny message and took the time to mention her daughter – a very important part of her life that many others seemed to gloss over. The couple’s first date was at a pop-up ice cream parlor in downtown Raleigh, during which they both knew they already wanted a second date.

During the winter, Claire had an inkling that a proposal might be coming, but when her birthday and the holidays came and went, she started to think maybe her intuition was wrong. Then, in mid-January, Kursad sat Claire down to show her a YouTube video – it turned out to be a video he created using her daughter’s Lego people and was all about their first date and a proposal! After the video, which had Claire both laughing and crying, Kursad proposed. He even had flowers, which he had let her daughter pick out earlier in the day.

Their goal was to throw a wedding that was just as much fun for the bride and groom as it was for the guests, which led them to choose All Saints Chapel. Being able to do the ceremony and reception in the same place (and stay out of the July heat) was exactly what they were looking for. After that, everything else fell into place. Catering Works works with All Saints a lot, so planning was a breeze. Thanks to amazing vendors, Claire and Kursad were able to pull off a wedding in less than six months!

Bella Trio completed Claire’s simple yet stunning hair and makeup at her room in the Sheraton Hotel Raleigh, which is also where the couple did their first look photos.

Claire knew from the beginning that she wanted to walk down the aisle with her daughter; it was very important that Laura accompany her as they embarked on a new and exciting journey together as a family. Rather than a “giving away” moment, it was more of an homage to starting their new family. It was a very meaningful moment, and Claire admits, also helped to calm the nerves!

Venue
All Saints Chapel is a gorgeous venue with a delightful staff,” says Claire. “This was the first vendor we selected and the ease with which we booked our date really set the tone for our wedding planning. Having the venue settled so quickly and easily was a huge relief! During the wedding itself, Diane was an absolute gem and made the everything run smoothly, without much thought or input from me. Our guests were so impressed with how beautiful the chapel is, and it was ideal to not have to leave the building in between the ceremony and reception.”Raleigh wedding venuesCatering and Cake
“I’ve worked with Catering Works at my job before and I knew without question that they were the company I wanted to use for our wedding. Their food is always delicious and their service is impeccable. It felt like they were our wedding planner on top of caterer. Kelli is a doll and so easy to work with – she is so on top of things, right down to making sure there was ketchup for the kid’s buffet! All of the staff who assisted at the wedding were great and I was so pleased to hear that our guests loved the food. They also handled the cake and it was divine. So delicious, so fresh, and decorated just like I requested,” shares Claire.

Flowers
Fresh Affairs was an SB&G find! I loved their work and meeting with Lyn in person sealed the deal. He is such a delight and I had complete faith that the flowers would be extraordinary…and they were! When the bouquets were delivered, everyone in the room gasped – literally. The ceremony and reception looked amazing and I still can’t get over how perfectly they captured my vision,” Claire notes.Pink and white bouquetsVENUE All Saints Chapel | CATERING & CAKE Catering Works | PHOTOGRAPHER Gabrielle Elyse Photography | MINISTER Hollie Woodruff of Flying Fish Solutions | GOWN & JEWELRY Maggi Bridal | SHOES Badgley Mischka | FORMALWEAR Kenneth Cole from Belk | HAIR & MAKEUP Bella Trio | FLORIST Fresh Affairs | INVITATIONS Paperless Post | CEREMONY MUSIC All Around Raleigh DJ | PARTY RENTALS CE Rentals | ACCOMMODATIONS Sheraton Hotel Raleigh
