Today we’re sharing Sean and Shelley’s green and yellow wedding at the NC Museum of History in Raleigh, shot by Neil Boyd Photography.
Sean and Shelley met through a mutual friend and immediately hit it off after meeting for drinks one night. Sean proposed at the National Zoo, which was the perfect spot as it represented Shelley’s love for animals and zoos! She said yes, and the couple began planning their June 2014 wedding.
Sean had always envisioned an outdoor wedding, so the couple decided on the JC Raulston Arboretum on NC State’s campus – the bride’s alma mater and a beautiful garden venue. They selected a green and gold color palette inspired by their favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers, and carried the theme throughout their wedding day, including their reception at the NC Museum of History. Sean and Shelley personalized their big day with details that were unique to their personalities, like the escort card animal figurines and puzzle piece guest book.
The couple used several members of the SB&G Family to bring their wedding day together, including: the NC Museum of History, Neil Boyd Photography, Blossom Artistry, Edible Art, and CE Rental.
