This Bride’s Childhood Home Was Transformed Into an Elegant Outdoor Wedding Venue

When Tori was a little girl, her father purchased Bellewood, their historic home, with the hope of restoring the property so his oldest daughter could tie the knot there. Flash forward to present day, Tori and Phil couldn’t picture a more romantic and beautiful place to share their nuptials and become husband and wife. With the most classic colors of black and white, a splash of burgundy, and extravagant decor, Tori’s family home was transformed into the most stunning wedding venue. With the help of McLean Events, Raleigh area wedding planner, this outdoor black and white NC estate wedding was nothing short of a once in a lifetime wedding celebration.

Tori & Phil’s Love Story

Tori and Phil met, mid-storm, during a camping trip with friends. Both were attempting to ride out a storm that had hit their camping location and were forced into one tent with 5 other people to take cover.a similar storm blew through, wrecking havoc on the reception site and causing around the clock work to bring the lawn back to usable before the wedding! Guests wouldn’t have believed that the plush and fresh sod they walked on that evening was 8 inches on mud 2 days before.

The historic home was a picture perfect space for the bridal party to get ready for the festivities with Tori. The bridesmaids wore the most beautiful, elegant, black gowns to complement this black tie affair. Tori, the bride, wore the most stunning fit and flare gown by Vera Wang. Next to her groom, Phil, in his black and white tuxedo, the pair were the picture of classic beauty.

Meanwhile, the historic property that the bride grew up at, was the most breathtaking backdrop for the pair’s wedding and portraits.

The wedding was catered by NC wedding caterer, Rocky Top Catering. Their cuisine is always top notch and this affair was no exception. With delicious bites for the cocktail hour held on the patio of the historic home, and beautifully plate meal for the reception, the catering for this wedding was expertly executed. We also can’t help but mention the extremely cool champagne fountain the couple made sure to have for their incredible reception!
