From Industrial to Tropical, Raleigh Union Station

Transforming an industrial-chic train station into a Palm Springs vacation spot was achieved with luxury umbrella rentals and a fresh pop of greenery. Colorful linens, umbrellas and Emerson chairs were added to the space to create an old Hollywood ambiance. A retro font was featured on the entryway signage, menu and invitation cards. Each of these thoughtful details brought a bright touch of Palm Springs to Raleigh Union Station‘s blank canvas event space. Light and airy colors tied in 60’s vibes. Another addition to The Grand Hall were white retro-style metal chairs, placed around the low and high-top tables as well as on the outdoor Civic Plaza.Ā

Wedding Boom Brunch

C&D Collective and Raleigh Union Station wanted this Palm Springs-inspired party to give wedding vendors a time to pause and connect during the wedding boom. An interactive cocktail station and shaved ice helped these wedding vendors sit back, relax and mentally prepare for the chaos of fall and winter event season.

ā€œMy favorite part of planning this styled shoot was collaborating with Karen at Raleigh Union Station – she was so fun to work with and we had great ideas between us. I really loved the small things too – the interactive cocktail station, SweetWater Ices, and all of the little details that made that day so special. As a planner, you rarely think of yourself. Your mind is always on the client. To plan this brunch event about giving planners a break and celebrating the fact that we made it through one of the hardest times of our career … It was so much fun and rewarding to do something for those that always give.ā€ – Dana Kadwell, co-owner of C&D Collective
