Jacob and Amanda met when they were both attending Elon University and quickly began to hang out in the same friend group at school. After they both graduated, their interest in each other had grown and Jacob wasted no time in taking Amanda out on a date during the first week of her job. Ever since, the couple has been exploring and dreaming big together!
On one of their summer night adventures, the couple took a walk in the Raleigh Rose Garden before going out to dinner. Despite getting caught in a torrential downpour on the way there, they continued on and made it to the special Raleigh spot. Jacob, knowing Amanda is a huge fan of The Bachelor, beckoned Amanda over to the most beautiful red rose in the whole garden. After Amanda took a couple of pictures of it she was getting antsy to leave for dinner. That’s when he got down on one knee and popped the question, surrounded by Raleigh’s most gorgeous roses!

After their delicious rehearsal dinner at Gravy in Raleigh, one of the Empire Eats restaurants, Amanda and Jacob were ready for their special day. From cat escort cardholders in honor of their cat Cleo, a duet from the father and sister of the bride and a live performance by the sister of the groom and the best man, the wedding was filled with incredible personal touches.

This terrace was the ideal spot for Amanda and Jacob’s tented event amid the festive lights. Fueled with pizza, pierogies (an ode to Amanda’s hometown, Pittsburgh) and Jacob’s favorite Chicken Pesto Pasta recipe, everyone danced the night away. Amanda and Jacob also loved getting to stay at the venue for the weekend. They said it was magical and made their wedding feel like a weekend-long event!
