The Cookery Durham Transformed into a Boho Garden of Love by The English Garden
Today we’re sharing an inspirational boho wedding The English Garden crafted at The Cookery Durham. This Raleigh wedding florist created a vintage den for the bride and groom to share a meal. The exposed brick walls and iron staircase of this warehouse venue were a fantastic backdrop. Vibrant summer wedding flowers and greenery were set on a sweetheart table. Lanterns and antique luggage served as decor, all nestled around the tabletop. The romantic scene was literally bursting with love, spelled out in industrial letters from local lighting superstar, Get Lit.
This editorial was featured in our 2019 Southern Bride & Groom print edition, and features a roster of our recommended vendors. The photos are by Katherine Miles Jones Photography. We’d like to give a big thanks to our models, Raleigh fitness blogger Claire Guentz and her hubby, Stephen Guentz.

The English Garden Raleigh uses Boho Wedding Decor from All Angles of The Cookery Durham
The English Garden decorated this wedding scene from the ground up. They surrounded the sweetheart farm table with vintage lanterns and ferns sitting atop an Oriental rug. They also took advantage of the background. They lined the iron staircase with blooms, stacked vintage luggage around, and placed decorative rustic signage on a shelf. The decor gave dimension to the space, while also making it feel like a smaller nook within this large warehouse venue.
Other event details included beautiful drip candles, custom wedding menus by If It’s Paper, and mix and match china from Party Reflections.

Get The Look: Claire Guentz Dazzles in a Leanne Marshall Bridal Gown and Stephen Dons a Snazzy Navy Wedding Suit
Our bride and groom models happen to be real Raleigh newlyweds. In fact, they have their own podcast about marriage – The Husband and Wife podcast!
Claire’s wedding dress from Raleigh boutique Gilded Bridal was perfect for this boho wedding scene at The Cookery in Durham. She wore a sheer Leanne Marshall bridal gown in ivory with distinct blush undertones spilling out of the slitted skirt. A pendant necklace from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry worked well with the sweetheart neckline and spaghetti strap wedding dress. Her hair and makeup were styled by Bella Trio, a Durham salon and spa. To top off her boho wedding look, The English Garden made a delicate flower crown for the bride.
Stephen wore a navy wedding suit with a subtle check pattern, paired with a black bow tie from Belk. This classic look is popular for grooms and groomsmen who want to go casual-chic on the wedding day.
