Capturing Every Little Detail of Your Big Day

Jill Knight of Jillian Knight Photography perfectly captured all that The Maxwell has to offer. As a wedding and lifestyle photographer, Jill will document your special day and get to know your story. She is based in Raleigh but loves traveling to capture your love story.

Jill is able to capture all of the best moments that you’ll treasure for years to come. From photographing all of the small details, such as your table set-up, the decor; to the candid moments, such as the groom’s reaction to his bride walking down the aisle or your cousin’s reaction to catching the bouquet.

“My favorite part of this shoot was working with the vendors on design. Since this shoot was at a new venue, it challenged us all to think outside the box and bring something wonderfully unique to the table. It was an opportunity for each vendor to showcase their creativity and understanding of blended concepts, and they did just that!” – Chelsea Hand, The Maxwell owner

A Blush Textured Gown and Classic Tux

The bride wore an untraditional, blush textured gown from Gilded Bridal. The flowing fabric and intricate embroidered details of the dress combined vintage with contemporary. The groom wore a classic black tuxedo and bow tie with a watch to accessorize.

The wedding dress is from Gilded Bridal, a Raleigh boutique that is known for selling unique independent designed gowns. Gilded Bridal boutique is beautiful and hip; it almost feels like stepping into a West Elm catalog.

Susan Langford and her team are welcoming and will be your biggest cheerleaders for finding the dress (in your price range, size and style!). The boutique is a chill oasis for the modern bride, and they are all about helping you to be your own kind of beautiful. Some of their designers include Alexandra Grecco, Antonio Gual, Tara Lauren, Dearheart, Leanne Marshall, and WTOO By Watters. They also have bridal accessories from Veil Trends, Untamed Petals, Elizabeth Bower, and A.B. Ellie. They have appointments available Tuesday-Saturday, and are able to schedule appointments up to a month in advance.

A Blank Canvas for the little details

The tabletop decor was brought to life by using rentals from Party Reflections. The items used in this shoot were the Gold Stormy Linen, Rose Gold Napkin, Viva Plates, Avalon Creme Flatware, and Pure Glassware. The decor matched the aesthetic of the florals, which elevated the elegance aesthetic.

The stunning greenery boxwood walls, from Cottage Luxe, paired perfectly with the unique seating chart designed by Ivy & Linen. The boxwood walls add a light and airy look and are perfect for indoor or outdoor settings. They are also florist friendly if you wanted to add a fresh flower arrangement, or for heavy Neon signs for a bar backdrop. The seating chart was attached to the boxwood walls, that featured a gold tassel that made a unique experience.

Florals for this styled shoot were from Flora, and were a mix of fluffy textures and asymmetrical shapes in muted tones. The florals were paired with bone and bronze vessels and candles. There were also florals along the mantle which Andraya Northrup, owner, said she is such a sucker for!
