Discover Oakland Farm NC Wedding Venue

Faith stumbled across Oakland Farm during her initial search for a venue, before Liz got engaged. A true nature lover, she loved that it was surrounded by the outdoors and had an open pavilion. To complement the outdoorsy vibes of Oakland Farm, the brides collectively decided to go with a gold, dusty blue, sage green, white and brown color pallet. 

“Luckily, Liz and I have similar interests so it was pretty easy to decide on the colors and theme together,” Faith said. The couple stuck with a “less is more” approach. Liz added, “We wanted vendors that matched with a country, elegant and rustic wedding that was beautiful and simplistic in its approach.” 

The Perfect Venue During a Pandemic 

The gorgeous Oakland Farm venue is the perfect spot for brides who love the outdoors, but are looking to add a bit of elegance to their day. Surrounded by a luscious forrest and fields, the barn and surrounding grounds are truly dreamy. With spots for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, there are endless options for all kinds of events. 

And, to top it all off, the Oakland Farm staff are incredibly helpful when it comes to handling the coronavirus pandemic. “They were so accommodating during these uncertain times and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect,” Faith gushed. 

Intimate Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Although they loved all aspects of their double weddings, the brides had very similar favorite memories. For Liz, reading her vows and watching her sister read her vows was the highlight. For Faith, it was waiting with Liz before the ceremony started. “My sister and I waiting before our dad walked us down the aisle. We were waiting in a private room and shared a beautiful moment as we anticipated walking down the aisle and getting married,” she said. “The feeling we shared together is something I will never forget.”
