Today we are sharing beautiful winter wedding inspiration that features the pleasant surprise of blue mixed into a classic green and red color palette, designed by Knots ‘n Such and set in the modern Durham event venue, The Rickhouse.
The Rickhouse is not only a venue, but also a liquor distillery, which makes for some great photo opps! You’ll notice plenty of liquor and winter themed-details in the images captured by talented Durham-based photographer, Riley MacLean.
The deep rich colors of burgundy, evergreen and copper pop up all over the space from the copper vessels to red and copper backdrop walls to the bride’s velvet shawl (a great alternative texture for winter) and the groom’s feather bow tie. The unique color palette of deep reds, chocolates, and dusty purples and blues also come into play with a plant-dyed table runner, table wear, and even the delicious comfort food set on the by Durham Catering Co.
The flower arrangements are full of texture, too, especially the variety of winter greens! The head table “centerpiece” hangs vertically rather than horizontally and had attached blooms close to the table and it makes a huge and beautiful statement as a floating centerpiece!
