We’re pleased to introduce you to next month’s featured photographer, Robin Lin! After working in the legal field upon graduating from Purdue University with a B.A. in political science and psycholgy, Robin transitioned to photography. She took photography classes in both Chapel Hill and Durham as well as design classes online through Parsons School of Design in New York City and has now called Chapel Hill home for a decade.

Robin’s photos are a blend of documentary-style with traditional elements. “I always like to explain to potential clients that I really like clean images – images that you will think (with the exception of trends changing) are as beautiful in 30 years as they are now,” she shares.

She most enjoys documenting the grandness of the ceremony location as well as the smallest details that were carefully selected by each client. She makes an effort to embrace the lighting that her clients’ have chosen, be it time of day/natural lighting or lighting that has been installed in a venue. But her favorite part of a wedding to document is emotion – from tears to laughter and everything in between.

See some of that emotion Robin so eloquently captures in a group of beautiful hand-selected images below.Best wedding photographers in North CarolinaChapel Hill bride at the Carolina InnRobin Lin NC Wedding PhotographerRobin Lin NC photographyDurham Chapel Hill Wedding PhotographerCandid wedding photographyBlack and white wedding photos Robin LinImages by Robin Lin Photography
