Stunning Blush, Ivory, and Sage Design at The Barn of Chapel Hill Spring Wedding by C and D Events

C and D Events met with Kevin and Kristine, and immediately got an idea of the couples’ romantic and earthy style. Their wedding colors included blush, sage green, and ivory, which translated beautifully into bouquets and floral installments by The Barn of Chapel Hill. C and D Events helped the bride and groom design a stunning barn and tent reception. Blush and ivory drapery filled the rafters, and everywhere you turned, whimsical garden trellises were blanketed in flowers from the on-site flower farm. A variety of wedding lounge areas allowed guests a comfortable place to pause, relax and visit with each other.

“C and D Events knew what we needed 10 minutes before we needed it, it was incredible. They are a well oiled machine. Highly recommend,” said Bride Kristine.

Love Story Behind The Barn of Chapel Hill Spring Wedding by C and D Events

Kevin O’Toole and Kristine Welsh-Loveman’s love story is mushy and romantic, and you probably don’t want to read about it – or so Kevin said on their wedding website. But we’re skeptical of this sentiment because, y’all, their love story is a good one. After years of pretending they were just friends and weren’t in love with each other, Kevin and Kristine started dating. One minute later, by Kevin’s estimations, they confessed their love for each other, and approximately 15 seconds after that Kevin told Kristine’s parents he would marry her.

Kevin got down on one knee and proposed to Kristine in her living room. Bubbling over with excitement, they told the good news to the first person they saw that morning — the local barista. To their chagrin, the barista wasn’t amused. Thankfully, all of their friends and family had more excitement than a thousand baristas combined. Their wedding guests traveled from all corners of the world to The Barn of Chapel Hill to celebrate Kevin and Kristine’s lifetime commitment of love.

Today, the newlyweds live in Durham and both work in tech for companies in San Francisco. Kristine works in EdTech, managing large district software implementations for Clever, and Kevin leads strategy, operations, and partnerships for Launchpad, Google’s global startup accelerator team.
