Kari and Ryan are high school sweethearts and wanted to come back to the bride’s hometown of Raleigh, NC to celebrate their marriage with their friends and family. The couple wanted their wedding to feel industrial with a garden party twist and when they found The Stockroom at 230, they knew it was the perfect wedding venue for their celebration. With a combination of the modern, urban vibe of the venue and the romantic ambience of greenery, flowers, candles and market lights, the vision Kari and Ryan dreamed up for their wedding was accomplished. The couple had a beautifully crafted bohemian wedding at The Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh.

Kari & Ryan’s Love Story

Kari and Ryan have been together since high school and were never driven by the thought of a wedding in their relationship. They’ve been dating for 11 years, went to college together, lived in 3 different cities, followed career and life aspirations and grew closer with one another through all of it. Ryan asked Kari to go on a paddle boat ride and while in the middle of the lake, he got down on one knee on their metallic red paddle boat and asked her to be his wife.

Kari and her bridal party got ready for the special day at The Glass Box in downtown Raleigh. Located in the same building as their wedding venue, The Stockroom at 230, on the top floor, the space is the perfect venue for brides before their wedding. With floor to ceiling windows and a private balcony, you are able to see the amazing views of downtown while getting ready for your wedding day. It was the perfect getting ready room venue for Kari and her girlfriends to be pampered and prep for the celebrations.

Kari wore a flowy strapless wedding gown from Sarah Seven, based out of Los Angeles where her and Ryan currently reside. The bridesmaids wore rose quartz convertible Two Birds dresses to pair with the natural theme of the wedding. With wildflower bouquets tied with hanging ribbon the bridesmaids were picturesque next to Kari at her bohemian wedding at The Stockroom at 230.

Garden Bohemian Ceremony at The Stockroom at 230

Kari and Ryan wanted their bohemian wedding at The Stockroom at 230 to have the feel of a secret garden while also using the industrial edginess of the venue. With greenery and flowers draping an asymmetrical arbor, hanging market lights twisted with vines and the exposed brick, everything about the couple’s wedding ceremony gave the space a warm and welcoming ambience to exchange vows.

The Stockroom at 230 is an urban warehouse venue in the heart of downtown. With the brick walls, hardwood floors and high lattice ceilings, the space creates an open, relaxed vibe for any celebration. The setting is easily customizable for any couple’s dream wedding style.

Industrial Garden Wedding Reception at The Stockroom at 230

After the ceremony, the Stockroom at 230 was converted into an intimate gathering for Kari and Ryan’s wedding reception. With hanging greenery and floral arrangements, draping market lights and candles, the Raleigh event space was spectacular to share in the celebrations.

Rocky Top Catering – a SB&G preferred wedding caterer based in Raleigh – crafted an immaculate dinner for family and friends to share. Kari shared, “Rocky Top covered every detail perfectly – they even sourced all the local craft beers we wanted!”

The couple also chose a SB&G preferred bakery to craft the wedding cakes for their Raleigh wedding. Kari shared, “Sugar Euphoria had so many amazing flavors, we couldn’t decide on one – so we went with 4 different cakes for our wedding. The cakes were simple, semi-naked cakes adorned with fresh flowers and accompanied with Rise donuts and Slingshot cold brew coffee.”
