A Destination NC Wedding Venue
Tryon Palace is the wedding venue you’ve been dreaming of. Originally North Carolina’s capital, the historic site allows you to travel back in time with sculpture gardens, colonial sites and architecture along the riverfront. They even have an interactive experience with the reconstructed 18th century venue blended with the technologies of the 21st century! From micro weddings to large, lively parties, host any wedding at this Southern destination venue.
Tryon Palace offers nine gorgeous event spaces! Find each on 22 acres of gardens and waterfront in historic downtown New Bern. Naturally, this makes Tryon Palace ideal for a coastal, southern wedding. The venue offers a variety of views ranging from an iconic Palace, historic home and downtown area, scenic gardens and riverfront views.
The North Lawn captures a view of the Governor’s Palace and provides an intimate setting.
The larger South Lawn faces Trent River.
The Stanly House Garden offers a formal 18th century area ideal for a warm, summer wedding with the flower gardens close by.
The Dot Tyler Garden at the Historic Jones House creates a colorful array of garden beds with various plants and flowers, inspired by the 19th century New Bern gardens, featuring a distant view of the Palace.
The Latham garden is another formal setting with colonial gardens and flowers that bloom seasonally.
The Hawks Allée is a European-style garden with marble statues and beautiful plants blooming back and forth year round.
Can’t decide between the fairytale setting of the Palace’s indoor or outdoor venues? Bate Commons is the best of both worlds, the protected courtyard has an open-air or tented-top option with views of the Trent River, gardens, and access to the boardwalk.
The Commission House is great for hosting a small indoor wedding with southern charm. Mattocks Hall features the beauty of the Tryon Palace architecture through the vaulted atrium ceiling, column corridors and more.
To add to this already amazing venue, the Palace is in a convenient location. It is a couple hour drive from the NC Triangle, or the NC Coast. Fly in to the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, just five miles away. The venue offers onsite catering and parking. Plus, they offer wonderful local planner partners.
