Tryon Palace offers nine gorgeous event spaces! Find each on 22 acres of gardens and waterfront in historic downtown New Bern. Naturally, this makes Tryon Palace ideal for a coastal, southern wedding. The venue offers a variety of views ranging from an iconic Palace, historic home and downtown area, scenic gardens and riverfront views.

Outdoor Event Spaces at Tryon Palace

The North Lawn captures a view of the Governor’s Palace and provides an intimate setting.

The larger South Lawn faces Trent River.

The Stanly House Garden offers a formal 18th century area ideal for a warm, summer wedding with the flower gardens close by.

The Dot Tyler Garden at the Historic Jones House creates a colorful array of garden beds with various plants and flowers, inspired by the 19th century New Bern gardens, featuring a distant view of the Palace.

The Latham garden is another formal setting with colonial gardens and flowers that bloom seasonally.

The Hawks Allée is a European-style garden with marble statues and beautiful plants blooming back and forth year round.
