Country Chic Fall Wedding Flowers by Eclectic Sage, Local Florist Raleigh NC at The Historic Wakefield Barn
She loves me, she loves me not, she loves me… We are enchanted by this late summer into fall wedding flower design by local florist, Eclectic Sage in Raleigh. Toward the end of a hot North Carolina summer, we invited our favorite local florists to the Historic Wakefield Barn. Built in the 1930’s, this restored barn and farm wedding venue is a countryside oasis 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh. Eclectic Sage’s floral team arrived early on the scene with a vision and a truckload of flowers. Little did we know, they planned to create one of the most beautiful floral arrangements we have ever seen. Warm shades of ivory, rust and terracotta flowers highlight the beauty of the Historic Wakefield Barn’s antique clay silo bricks. We hope that Eclectic Sage’s romantic floral design featured in this blog will inspire your NC wedding!
This editorial was featured in our 2020 Heart of NC Weddings print edition, and features a roster of our recommended vendors. The photos are by Sammie B. Photography. We’d like to give a big thanks to our models, Raleigh lifestyle blogger Amanda Deflavio and her partner, Ben Jones.
Eclectic Sage Uses Texture & Color to Create Romantic Fall Wedding Flowers
Raleigh florist team, Eclectic Sage took inspiration from their environment to create this country chic floral design. Upon arrival at the Historic Wakefield Barn you’ll see fields of grass and two brick silos basking in the sun. Don’t be surprised if a speckled horse wanders by! Creamy colors of harvest such as barley and sage are an important element in these fall wedding flower arrangements. Long stalks of wheat provide a fun textural element to the bride’s bouquet that complements without overwhelming the other blossoms. We love how the rusty colored roses and orchids pop against the bride’s boho wedding dress. Fall wedding flowers do not have to be a harsh jack-o-lantern orange or state fair apple red! Skilled florists such as Eclectic Sage know which seasonal flowers and greenery make the most beautiful and natural arrangements.
How to Make a Wedding Fashion Statement – Gilded Bridal
The bride’s wedding dress by Leanne Marshall from Gilded Bridal is the perfect match for Eclectic Sage’s fall wedding flowers! From the marigold yellow skirt to the vintage lace top, this boho wedding dress is modest with an adventurous edge. White will always be a classic, but we love that brides are incorporating more color into their wedding dress attire. For brides who want a hint of color or a unique boho wedding dress, visit Gilded Bridal in Raleigh. You’ll fall in love with their incredible selection of wedding dresses that include plus sizes. One of our favorite elements from this bride’s wedding outfit are the white feather earrings from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry! These playful earrings complement the boho bridal look beautifully. Now that’s the right way to make a wedding fashion statement y’all!
Country Chic Menswear from Bernard’s Formalwear
If our bride brought the sunshine with her wedding dress, then our groom brought the heat! The ivory cream color jacket on this classic tuxedo from Bernard’s Formalwear complements the country chic wedding venue perfectly. A black bow tie and pocket square take this tux from dandy to debonair. We love when a groom knows how to accessorize! That handsome silver and black wrist watch comes from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry in Raleigh. Last but not least, Eclectic Sage designed a conversation-starter, fall wedding flower boutonniere with textural barley, wheat and blossoms.
Whimsical Wedding Hair and Makeup by Bella Trio
Based in Durham, Bella Trio Salon has been providing NC brides with beautiful hair and makeup for over 15 years. As soon as they saw the vintage lace turtleneck top on this wedding dress, Bella Trio knew what to do. In order to avoid hiding the lace detail of the dress, Bella Trio gave our bride an elegant bun. We love the delicate wisps of hair that they left down to gently frame the bride’s face. For makeup, Bella Trio played with soft neutral tones to create a natural, bohemian style. With a gen z yellow skirt, there was no need to clash by using any additional bright makeup colors. If you’re looking for a professional, experienced and kindhearted beauty team, Bella Trio Salon is the local business for you!
Fall Wedding Flower Staircase to Heaven by Eclectic Sage
In late July, when our favorite NC florists arrived at the Historic Wakefield Barn, we have to be honest… We thought that local Raleigh florist, Eclectic Sage had the most difficult space to execute their floral design in! Prepare to catch your breath when you enter the barn’s second floor banquet room. All white, this 1930’s space has magnificently arched ceilings with a double staircase balcony, shiplap walls and golden wood floors. It was on this balcony, the third floor of the barn, that Eclectic Sage chose to create her wedding design. Her team single-handedly carried all of their flowers up to the third floor! Talk about strength and commitment. And wow, we are so glad that they did.
The result being this fall wedding flower staircase installment that is worthy of being featured in an art exhibit! Rustic colored blossoms woven with whispers of greenery and wheat seem to be growing out of the antique barn’s architecture. This incredible floral design by Eclectic Sage would be a central element and awe-inspiring conversation piece at any NC wedding. Some of our favorite photographs in the 2020 Heart of NC Weddings magazine edition include the bride on this staircase. Beautifully captured on film by Sammie B. Photography.
Fall in Love with a Sweetheart Table from Party Reflections
The final breathtaking element of this fall wedding flower design by Eclectic Sage is the sweetheart table from Party Reflections. From the caramel color of the linens to the chocolate rattan charger, this table setting is the definition of romantic. We can just imagine a NC couple sitting down for their candlelit wedding reception dinner at this sweetheart table. Each table setting has an antique bud vase with fall wedding flowers tilting their little blossom heads up at you. Gold flatware and ivory cream dinner plates from Party Reflections add to the overall elegance of this sweetheart table design.
Local Raleigh florist, Eclectic Sage, always seems to have a secret source for magical and choice flowers that grow. If you are looking for a floral design that is both romantic and creative, you’ll want to hire Eclectic Sage.
