The Parlour at Manns Chapel – Modern Chapel Hill Venue With An Old Soul
Tucked away in the rolling hills of Chapel Hill, NC, The Parlour at Manns Chapel has a little white steeple, with refurbished interior and exterior event spaces. Established in 1887, the chapel was all but crumbling when current owners Aimee and Yvette combined creative forces with love to resurrect the magical structure. The Parlour is a Chapel Hill wedding and event venue that offers guests an intimate atmosphere of old and new. The mindful and authentic renovation has kept this venue close to the hearts of the community. Warm pine floors, stained glass windows that stretch to the ceiling, and vintage chandeliers whisper romance.
Vintage Wedding Dress that Tells a Story
Gabby wore her grandmother’s satin wedding dress with full length sleeves and a modest neckline. The vintage-chic style bridal gown gave the wedding a sentimental touch and timeless grace. Gabby chose a splash of wine-red shoes to match her autumn lip color. Bridesmaids wore mix and match dresses in rose and blush color. The groom’s suit and fun-floral tie perfected the bridal party’s eclectic entourage. The warm tones were perfect for this fall wedding at The Parlour at Manns Chapel.

For Zach and Gabby’s special day Kast designed stunning garden bouquets overflowing with burgundy, amber, white, deep purple, blush, and green flora. The bouquets were the highlight of the wedding design for this easy-going, eclectic couple. After the ceremony, the bridesmaids flowers doubled as centerpieces alongside handpicked farmers market pumpkins and mason jar candles at the reception. Party rentals were supplied by CE Rental, a North Carolina wedding company known for its reliability and quality.
“Most of our vendors we recommendations from our venue or from friends. A lot of people were shocked at how laid back we were because a lot of the time we gave our vendors the flexibility to be creative and make decisions.” – Gabby
Intimate Chapel Hill Wedding Ceremony at The Parlour at Manns Chapel
Zach and Gabby promised to love one another for life inside The Parlour at Manns Chapel’s warm and cozy event space. Floor-to-ceiling length vintage mirrors and chandeliers cast the eclectic bride and groom in a lovely glow. True to the couple’s sentimental streak, a dear friend and uncle played live music for the ceremony procession. The gorgeous fall bouquets by Kast Events, and farmers market pumpkins graced the ceremony altar.
Outdoor Fall Wedding Reception at The Parlour at Manns Chapel
Transitioning into the outdoor reception space, a beautiful patio surrounded by trees bursting in fall colors, Gabby stepped into a second floral dress by Free People. Her second dress combined modern and vintage style seamlessly when paired with an sheek fur coat and charming red clogs. Gabby let Zach pick a live band for reception music, The Hey Brothers, which added a unique bluegrass entertainment experience for their wedding guests. Gabby reminisces fondly on her special day, “I think my favorite part was when Zach surprised me by singing a song that he wrote for me when we were still dating.”
Belgian Waffles Pair Nicely with Burying the Bourbon?
Gabby and Zach’s fall outdoor reception had a cozy atmosphere at The Parlour at Manns Chapel. The crisp smell of autumn mixed deliciously with the smell of fresh belgian waffles from local Chapel Hill food truck Belgian Waffle Crafters, and Longleaf Swine BBQ. Gabby and Zach stayed true to their personal tastes and style when planning and designing their wedding day with Kast Events & Co. For dessert, Yellow Dog Bread Company in Raleigh, North Carolina baked up quaint miniature hand-held cakes with Kast Event’s fall floral designs as decoration.
Southern Folklore shares a unique tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon upside down at the wedding site exactly one month before the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, the bridal party digs up the bourbon as a symbol of good luck and good fortune! To match their Southern eclectic wedding, Gabby and Zach gave their guests etched mason jars from etsy as a hospitable wedding favor.
A Sweet Send-off For A Southern Wedding Day
Gabby and Zach skipped off the steps of The Parlour at Manns Chapel through a shower of flower petals. A soulful faded-blue getaway car, an old Checker Marathon, drove the newlyweds away from the sweetest Southern fall wedding.
Kast Events has produced many other weddings at The Parlour at Manns Chapel in totally different but equally mesmerizing vibes. We also recently featured a Chapel Hill wedding by Kast Events, where the bridesmaids all wore white. She is a versatile wedding planner and designer – just one of the reasons we love her.
