Jewelry and Accessories to Finish Your Wedding Look

Four Up-and-Coming Wedding Accessory Trends We Love

“The beauty of accessories is that the way you pair and style them shows your personality and spirit,” says BeEverthine founder Eileen Schilly. “Many people can wear the same dress but what will make your look stand apart is how you style it.”

BeEverthine stocks an array of bridal accessories, bachelorette gifts, apparel and other items.

“If you, like me, have FOMO and want to include all the accessories, then curate multiple looks,” Eileen suggests. “There are so many ways to do this. If it’s in your budget to have a second dress, fantastic! If it isn’t, you can give the illusion of a second look by changing up your accessories.”

Eileen recommends choosing more traditional options like a veil for your ceremony, then changing into more playful adornments like a bow and embellished gloves for your reception or send-off look. You can also play with trendy beaded clutches, a pair of flashy pearl-rimmed glasses or even a fringed jacket for your bach party, rehearsal dinner or honeymoon.

1 – Stand Out Jewels

Diamonds Direct marketing and merchandising manager Tessa Kitko recommends pairing one showstopping piece of jewelry with understated or delicate pieces to ensure you and your attire remain the center of attention.

“For wedding day jewelry, it’s a great idea to play off the details in your engagement ring,” Tessa says. Consider similar shapes, diamond settings and the overall vibe of your ring – such as vintage elements and colorful stones – to bring your look together.

Leanna Norris, Jewelry Authority‘s content coordinator and marketing specialist, agrees that any statement pieces you plan to wear on your wedding day don’t have to match perfectly, but should have a cohesive theme.

“An easy guideline to follow is for your jewelry to have one aspect in common,” Leanna says. She suggests choosing accessories that incorporate the same metal, stone color or design era.

“The most important tip for choosing your wedding day jewelry is to select pieces that are meaningful to you,” Leanna adds. “Perhaps estate heirlooms, a gift from your significant other engraved with your anniversary or a custom piece you designed to pass down to future generations.”

2 – Balletcore

“French influences and bows are really coming into play,” Eileen says. Bows bring a lighthearted feel to any look, whether as dainty embellishments on a dress or as a bold, oversized hair accessory in lieu of a traditional veil. Opting for simple and relaxed fabrics give bows a chic feel.

3 – Mix and Match

Pearls, ruffles, embroidery – more is more when it comes to trending bridal accessories. Eileen recommends pairing these textures carefully. “If you’re loving pearl gloves, opt for a simple tulle veil but keep the pearl jewelry,” she says. “You want to match, but not be matchy-matchy.” If your gown is clean and minimal, explore embellished veils, beaded gloves or chunky jewelry for a balanced look.”

4 – Accessories For the Groom

Modernize his formalwear with a snazzy watch, lapel pin and a pair of unique cufflinks. Also consider selecting a tie or bow tie, suspenders, socks and shoes that will differentiate the groom’s look from the rest of the wedding party.
