Black, White and Gold Wedding in an Urban Durham NC Venue Setting

Black velvet linen was matched with marble chargers and black-wash chairs from American Party Rentals of Durham. Gold flatware was an offbeat touch. This pop of color was matched with gold calligraphy on the table numbers by Paperbuzz. Local lighting specialist Get Lit added some extra flair by adorning the great wooden doors of The Cookery with gear decor. They brought along their gear stool to add to the scene. To top it all off, we worked with Paperbuzz to have some very unique place cards created – gold calligraphy on industrial Edison light bulbs. Durham wedding florist Ninth Street Flowers created a simply elegant greenery, white and blush centerpiece, and bouquet to match.

Greenery and white is always elegant, and a pop of a blush peony is irresistible. We are pleased to report that mostly local blooms were used in this design.

Get The Looks – Classic Wedding Fashion for Stephen and Claire Guentz at Durham Warehouse Venue

Local NC fitness blogger Claire Guentz posed as our bride with her real life groom, Stephen. Their elegant wedding looks are a perfect fit for the black and white wedding theme.

Bride Claire Guentz wears a gown by Eddy K Italia, from The Wedding Dress Shoppe. A deep V neck blends into a smooth fitting trim gown, and ends with an elegant lace train. Claire’s bridal hair and makeup was styled by Bella Trio, a salon and spa with two Durham locations, including one in American Tobacco Campus. She is jeweled in a gorgeous engagement ring and Ippolita bracelet, earrings and necklace from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry.

Groom Stephen wears a classic black tux, complete with a bow tie. This traditional look comes from another Durham favorite, Bernard’s Formalwear. Bernard’s is located on the same street at Ninth Street Flowers. They carry a wide range of tuxes and suits for weddings and special occasions – and even many options for purchase. So check them out even if the formal tux look isn’t your goal.
