Kaitlin and Elliott knew they wanted an urban romantic wedding. But they also wanted some tradition – and a chapel wedding in Raleigh at Jones Chapel was a perfect fit. This picture perfect chapel is on the breathtaking campus of Meredith College. The couple mixed a classic ivory, navy and blush color scheme with touches of gold and monogram accents with the warehouse vibe of their chosen Raleigh venue – Traine in Seaboard Station. The combination of sacred tradition with contemporary urban edge resulted in their dream wedding.

Kaitlin and Elliott’s Love Story

Katilin and Elliott met while in college together and developed a strong friendship. When both of them later moved to Raleigh, that friendship organically grew into something deeper. Elliott sweetly proposed in their apartment and then brought Kaitlin to a dinner at downtown restaurant, Sitti, where all of their family was there to join in on the celebration.

Urban Romantic Raleigh Wedding Reception at Traine

Traine is an urban warehouse venue in downtown Raleigh. Built in the early 1900s as the original Railway Express operation in Raleigh and later modernized and refurbished as Traine. The building has kept much of its history with its original exposed brick and wooden ceiling beams. The venue space is locating in a charming neighborhood of Raleigh – right next to Peace University.

Kaitlin shared, “Traine was an absolutely amazing venue. It had everything that we were looking for. We especially loved the exposed brick, wood floors, and glass garage doors that opened up to a beautiful patio.”

214 Martin Street Catering created an impeccable menu for Kaitlin and Elliott’s romantic Raleigh wedding at Traine. “Everyone at our wedding was raving about the food. We had a strawberry spinach salad, peppercorn filet, shrimp and grits (a crowd favorite), mashed potatoes, and grilled vegetables. The 214 Martin Street Catering staff was professional, engaged, and very helpful,” the bride said.
