North Carolina Themed Party at City Club Raleigh
We like to extend our thanks to the wonderful wedding professionals who came to our “Heart of NC” themed event at the City Club in Downtown Raleigh earlier this month. This event is something we look forward to all year, where our talented wedding vendors gather together to enjoy great food and make new connections. It also gives us the opportunity to showcase a beautiful local venue and highlight several of the professionals that are a vital part of our vendor family.
This year’s NC-themed luncheon was held on Wednesday, April 9th, at City Club Raleigh. The Cardinal Club was the perfect location for our midday meal, with its classic staircase, elegant details, and, of course, the stunning panoramic views of Downtown Raleigh. The space allowed our guests to network and then be comfortably seated for a delectable lunch, prepared by the Cardinal Club’s catering team. The chefs worked closely with us to create a menu that reflected our North Carolina theme down to the last detail. The Cardinal Club will soon have their renovations completed that includes new carpet, lighting and wall coverings.
We’d also like to get a special thanks to the following vendors:
Ninth Street Flowers went above and beyond to create an absolutely stunning floral look for the afternoon. The arrangements were varying heights of cherry blossoms, tulips, lilies, and roses, all in shades of soft pink, which perfectly complemented the Cardinal Club’s decor.
Cute Buttons Gift & Paper Boutique designed the beautiful invitations, menu cards, and table signs. Since the theme of the day was all things North Carolina, Cute Buttons created a custom, ombre red-to-pink hued silhouette of The Tar Heel State for our invitations. The invitations were hand-addressed with beautiful calligraphy by Calligraphy by Carrie, who also created chalkboard art adorned with our #SBGMag hashtag for our party!
Classic Party Rentals provided the stunning gold table linens that helped pull our entire look together. The soft gold color paired beautifully with City Club’s brushed gold chiavari chairs.
SPIN kept our guests entertained during the mingling and delicious seated lunch with roots and “new-grass” tunes.
A few attendees took home one of our NC-themed prizes including wines from Biltmore Estate and JoLo Vineyards, as well as donated prizes from Moon & Lola and High Cotton. Everyone left with a little favor treat from Edible Art Bakery – North Carolina-themed cookies in the shape of Dogwood flowers, pigs, and the state outline.
Robin Lin Photography helped us out by taking some photos to document the afternoon event. Please enjoy the gorgeous detail shots below, all by Robin Lin!

Thanks again to all of the vendors who helped make this “Heart of NC” Customer Appreciation Luncheon 2014 such a wonderful success!
