Tryon Palace New Bern, NC – A Destination NC Wedding Venue
From micro weddings to large, lively parties, Tryon Palace is the wedding venue you’ve been dreaming of. Originally North Carolina’s capital, the historic site allows you to travel back in time with sculpture gardens, colonial sites and architecture along the riverfront. They even have an interactive experience with the reconstructed 18th century venue blended with the technologies of the 21st century!
Tryon Palace has nine gorgeous outdoor event spaces that are stunning, starting with the North Lawn. This part of the venue captures a view of the Governor’s Palace and provides a more intimate setting in comparison to the larger South Lawn, which faces Trent River. The Stanly House Garden offers a formal 18th century area ideal for a warm, summer wedding with the flower gardens close by. The Dot Tyler Garden at the Historic Jones House creates a colorful array of garden beds with various plants and flowers, inspired by the 19th century New Bern gardens, featuring a distant view of the Palace. The Latham garden is another formal setting with colonial gardens and flowers that bloom seasonally. The Hawks Allée is a European-style harden with marble statues and beautiful plants blooming back and forth year round.
