Springtime Wedding Ceremony at Saint Mary’s Chapel Raleigh, NC
There’s an indescribable feeling of hope and tranquility that comes with the early weeks of Spring in NC. Blair and Tim planned their wedding for March, just in time for flower buds and the first sprigs of grass. Luckily, Saint Mary’s Chapel in Raleigh looks beautiful in every season! With it’s historic white steeple, Saint Mary’s is the chapel of old Southern love stories. Built in 1856, Saint Mary’s is an Episcopal chapel and campus for an all-girls boarding school. However, weddings of other denominations are welcome here! The on site Raleigh wedding chapel can host up to 230 guests. Our hearts melt at the sight of bride Blair walking down the aisle of Saint Mary’s Chapel with her father. Blush bridesmaids dresses paired with navy suits and matching blush ties look fresh and romantic underneath Carolina blue skies.
McLean Events Designs Incredible Reception at Whitaker & Atlantic
When you see this Whitaker & Atlantic reception, you’ll understand the look of pure joy on Blair and Tim’s faces! Local wedding and events planners Carrington Buck and Erin McLean of McLean Events delivered this beautiful design. They married the natural wood, steel and textured concrete floors of W&A with a romantic garden style. Taking advantage of the high ceilings, McLean Events played with suspended greenery, lights and even a wedding cake swing! Plants seem to be magically growing from every corner, like the fabulous greenery wall from ThemeWorks framing the lounge area. Modern meets traditional in the lounge area in the shape of fantastic, vintage mirrors and a customized neon sign!
Other beautiful wedding design details by McLean Events include the Vivian Plum linens from CE Rental. These textured table linens look amazing on the Whitaker & Atlantic porch paired with colorful, bohemian rugs. Did you notice the chairs? It’s ok if you didn’t. That’s because they’re Ghost Chairs from CE Rental! These modern, acrylic chairs are the hottest wedding trend at the moment, and for good reason. Clear chairs allow for the natural beauty of the venue to remain visible for your guests. A plethora of candles adds a welcome warmth to this warehouse event space.
Old Fashioned Love Story in The Modern Age
Most people throw away their to-go coffee cups without a care in the world – but Blair and Tim found a wonderful way to recycle them. They have a tradition of writing each other love notes and lyrics on the lids of their to-go coffee cups. It was their unique, romantic ritual that inspired Tim’s marriage proposal to Blair. A morning to-go coffee cup with the words “will you marry me?” written on the lid.
We love that the ancient tradition of writing love letters or notes has been preserved in such a modern way. Leave it to McLean Events to find a cool way to showcase this sweet detail in the wedding reception design. Yep, look closer at the greenery wall decor in the lounge area. Blair and Tim’s coffee lid love notes made a special appearance. Framed within square glass, the lids serve as a beautiful and sentimental decor centerpiece.
Altogether, it was a spectacular night of celebration, including the bride and groom singing “American Girl” with the band on stage! Alas, every great wedding day has to come to an end. Blair slipped into a bridal getaway dress and grabbed her husband’s hand. The newlyweds exited Whitaker & Atlantic warehouse wedding venue through a tunnel of friends and family waving neon glow sticks. Cheers to another beautiful NC love story, we wish the newlyweds a lifetime of peace and joy. Last but not least, some final words of wisdom from bride Blair,
“Hire McLean Events! They made the whole process incredibly stress-less.”
