Hannah & George’s Love Story 

Love stories are our favorite, and this couple’s story made our hearts sing! Christopher met Hannah while he was completing his residency and she worked in the ICU in 2016. It was love at first sight for Hannah. She even told her besties that Christopher would be her husband one day! The pair instantly connected over similar careers and shared Southern roots. 

Hannah said it first, Christopher would be her husband one day! After Hannah’s birthday dinner, Christopher told Hannah he had another gift for her, then got down on one knee. She knew it was coming, but during this moment Hannah says, “… it was perfect, just the two of us and we were able to just be in the moment …” The engagement started a new chapter of their lives, including a beautiful winter wedding at The Carolina Inn Chapel Hill, NC!

One of the many reasons why Hannah and Christopher chose The Carolina Inn is that Chapel Hill holds special memories for both of their families. Christopher’s parents had their wedding reception at The Carolina Inn. The couple felt that revisiting The Inn was a great way to honor Christopher’s parents and their wonderful marriage. In addition to Christopher’s parents being married in Chapel Hill, so was Hannah’s brother! 

“Chapel Hill was also the place where Christopher’s parents lived after they first were married and it just seemed like a special place to start our marriage,” Hannah says. “We loved the thought of having so many family ties to The Carolina Inn and wanted to add to the special memories made there.”

Even though Hannah and Christopher do not currently live in North Carolina, we love that they began their marriage in Chapel Hill.

During this romantic winter wedding, Heba brought Hannah and Christopher to the Old Well Room and had a photo shoot with them during cocktail hour. This gave them time to enjoy their first moments together as newlyweds during an extremely busy day.

Hannah and Christopher had a beautiful mirror with calligraphy by Mason Dixon Designs that welcomed guests and encouraged an unplugged ceremony. There was even an elegant dinner menu at every place setting.
