Location is everything and The Glass Box is an intimate event space in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Natural light spills through towering floor-to-ceiling windows into a lounge styled in simple, modern elegance. The space was especially designed with the ladies of the bridal party in mind as a luxurious, airy location for wedding preparation.
The Glass Box is the penthouse suite of the building that is home to the popular Stockroom wedding and reception venue. Both places are operated by their event team, but the suite is available to brides who book The Stockroom or other nearby wedding venues as a bridal getting-ready suite. It can also accommodate gatherings of up to 45 for private events such as luncheons, showers or rehearsal dinners.
Becca Taylor of C&D Events put together a stunning pre-wedding soiree, featured in SB&G’s 2016 magazine, that incorporates the Pantone colors of the year: Rose Quartz and Serenity, the perfect compliment to this chic and luxurious space where the bride and her female entourage get ready. Pops of gold inside the bridal suite add a touch of modern sophistication.
After having hair and makeup done in the suite by Makeup for Your Day in Raleigh, the girls pop bubbly on the private rooftop patio, munch on sweets, reminisce and have a relaxed and unique photoshoot with Casey Rose Photography, which reflects a memory beyond the traditional wedding party portraits and was captured on film to give it that timeless feel. The English Garden delivers bouquets of fresh white, pink and sage colors to go with the soft pastel pallette. The girls get ready in coordinating sky blue dresses. Even the flower girl gets dolled up in an adorable ensemble from Bella Bridesmaids Raleigh.
