Elevated Blue and Green Decor at The Distillery

Classic & Contemporary Wedding Design by Chad Biggs Event Planning & Design

A serene atmosphere, cultivated through decor in blue and buttery yellow tones, greets guests at The Distillery. The Garner, North Carolina, venue has a modern, industrial feel, perfectly suited to the innovative design of this mock gathering.

Venue owner Chad Biggs – and founder of Chad Biggs Event Planning & Design – embraced the versatility that The Distillery offers, he says, while orchestrating this classic yet forward-thinking photo shoot.

“The beauty of an expansive, industrial space lies in its adaptability,” Chad says. “It serves as a refined canvas that allows every wedding to become a unique masterpiece.”

This particular masterpiece was driven by Chad’s vision of a timeless aesthetic inspired by Ralph Lauren and infused with a relaxed Floridian vibe. “We wanted guests to step into a space that invites them to pause and soak in the significance of the moment – a gentle, serene ambiance that mirrors the calm yet exhilarating journey of two people beginning a new chapter together.”

Blue and Green Spring Wedding Theme

Sky blue, soft greens and bursts of yellow mingle in floral print linens from American Party Rentals. “Each fabric selection was intentional, combining classic patterns with refined textures to create a setting that’s warm, inviting and slightly bold,” Chad says. These materials are paired with organic elements like bamboo fronds and white orchids, plus delicate chinoiserie.

The Distillery’s open floor plan allows the theme to flow seamlessly from room to room and revelers to progress throughout the night with ease. “Couples and their guests remain immersed in one beautifully cohesive environment, avoiding the need for transitions or weather-related adjustments,” Chad says.

Each wedding at The Distillery begins in the luxurious lounge, where couples and their loved ones can relax and prepare for the day ahead. The White Room hosts ceremonies and receptions in its generous 7,500-square-foot space with lofty ceilings and clean lines.

While models (and real-life husbands) Brian and Tyler are pictured in intimate embraces by Rae Marshall Photography, the room is spacious enough for 300. The setting allowed for bold arrangements by Heritage Floral Design to reach new heights.

Graceful bamboo stalks unify the decor, Chad says, elegantly framing the aisle, altar and reception setup. The tables are set with fine china, glassware and flatware from American Party Rentals. But classical centerpieces featuring hydrangeas, roses, greenery and whimsical, spherical shrubs add a funky twist to the scene.

“Every detail we design is a reflection of the couple’s journey, their personalities and their dreams,” Chad says. “Curating a wedding as unique as each couple’s love story is an absolute privilege and the heart of what we do.”
