A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Bridal Market with Nitsa’s Apparel of NC
One of the leading bridal gown designers today, Amsale is known for her timeless and utterly romantic wedding fashions. Committed to supporting high-end bridal manufacturing, you can count on the most exquisite of fabrics when it comes to each of her creations.
SB&G was thrilled to return to the Amsale showroom this year at fall bridal market to preview her fall 2016 collection with Chris and George Bambalis, owners of NC’s first couture bridal salon, Nitsa’s Apparel. Their Winston-Salem and Charlotte bridal salons are the exclusive carriers of Amsale’s wedding dresses in our state.
Amsale loves to work with a natural waist, which is always flattering to the female form, and her gowns often have a special focal point. In her typical fashion, the Fall 2016 collection (arriving in stores now) focuses on classic cuts, from ballgown to fit and flair, but always with a contemporary edge. It takes a master designer to achieve this sort of understated elegance.
Riley of Riley MacLean Photography joined me at the bridal week preview to capture images of our favorite looks. We hope you’ll enjoy the photo journey, a composite of digital and film photography that truly illuminates the art of couture bridal fashion.

Above, Chris and George preview ‘Robyn,’ a sleek fit-to-flair wedding dress with that signature Amsale focal point being a hand-beaded crystal belt.
Below, this sleek gown with long sleeved lace is on trend. ‘Tegan’ will actually be available at Nitsa’s this season!

Simple yet alluring: ‘Bleecker’ is a Faille de Soie A-line gown with straps.
‘Rowan’ is a soft ballgown paired with simple V in front and back, and delicate spaghetti straps.
A classic fit and flair, this model wears ‘Presley,’ an Alencon lace fit-to-flare gown, in the gorgeous Amsale viewing room.
‘Rae’ is a fit-to-flare corded lace wedding gown with sheer illusion neck and hand-appliqued lace, with the fashionable tulle overskirt – a look that is on trend this season.
‘Lane’ blends a silk taffeta ballgown with a delicate hand-embroidered lace and crystal bodice.
A strapless mild fit-to-flair, ‘Ashton’ is a hand-embroidered gown with appliqued lace and crystals.
A classic ballgown shape, ‘Quinton’ is given a modern flair with a tiered tulle skirt and bold floral motifs.
One of our favorites from last fall that Nitsa’s carried is ‘Demi,’ a sleek gown with illusion back detail.
‘Lake’ is far from traditional with its cut-out corded sheer lace. This was my favorite gown of the day – maybe of the entire bridal market experience – look at how it moves! We are so excited that this one will be available in NC at Nitsa’s Apparel this year.
