Family-Owned Farmland Retreat
We’re thrilled to introduce you to one of the most unique wedding venues in the state of North Carolina. The Cornealius Properties is a unique, countryside wedding venue in Eastern NC with farmhouses, an industrial barn and an open air chapel! If Goldsboro wasn’t a wedding destination before, it is now!
You could be one of the first couples to say “I do” at The Cornealius Properties! When guests arrive, they have plenty of space to park in a large three-acre parking lot. From there, venue staff chauffeur guests by golf cart or by foot to on-site event spaces.
And, oh, the event spaces! One of our favorite ceremony sites at The Cornealius Properties is the Birdsong Chapel – a newly constructed open-air church surrounded by trees. Birds will serenade you as you share vows under the protection of a roof and completely enveloped by nature. Antique pews in the Birdsong Chapel provide seating for approximately 200 people. Beautiful chandeliers and woodwork details adorn the peaceful scene while ceiling fans keep the air moving. Give your ring bearer or flower girl the special task of ringing the chapel’s tower bell at the conclusion of your ceremony!
After the ceremony, invite your guests to an elegant reception in The Carriage Hall – a 3,000-square-foot space designed for dining and dancing. We like to call this a “blank canvas” space. It’s white walls and natural light make it possible to transform into any style. Rental of the space includes 200 white Chivari chairs, 13 custom-built farm tables and 13 (60-inch) round tables. Your caterer has ample space to prep for your day. Celebrate your love beneath soaring ceilings and stunning, rustic-chic chandeliers. Then, take a breather from the dance floor and step outside through a pair of French doors onto the 1500 square-foot covered patio. String lights, black wrought- iron patio furniture and bistro tables add a romantic ambiance to this outdoor space.
Throughout the property, you’ll find more beautiful natural areas. Decorative lighting creates a magical scene in the trees and on the trails of the property. The trails lead to several picturesque areas (perfect for engagement photos or wedding-day portraits). There is a wooden arbor area with climbing vines, a hexagon area, a swing and a pier with a dock over a pond.
Exit your reception in style by riding out in a 1931 “Model A” Ford, available for a chauffeured drive-away and photos of the couple for an additional cost of $500.
On the day of your wedding, get ready in one of The Cornealius Properties houses. The Honeymoon House is furnished with antiques and mirrors, and will make your wedding party feel comfortable (and special) as they prepare. For couples who book a two-day package, wedding party members may stay overnight the day before. The Honeymoon House porch is also the perfect photo opportunity! Couples who book their weddings at The Cornealius Properties may schedule a two hour photo shoot in The Honeymoon House as well as Birdsong Chapel at no additional charge.
The Camp Cabin is a more masculine, hunting-style house furnished with vintage items. This cabin is available for the wedding party to get ready. The camp includes an outdoor fireplace and picnic area as well as corn hole boards and a basketball goal. Playing a few games is a great way to lose those wedding-day nerves! The porches on the Cabin, and the outdoor fireplace at the Camp were made for friends and fellowship! They also make great group photo backdrops.
The Family House is a 4-bedroom, 3 and 1/2 bathroom home located just around the corner from the venue. This home is available for extended family traveling from out of town. The upstairs bedroom has a King bed and the downstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds. Two other bedrooms each have a queen bed.
Husband-wife duo, Don Neal and Joann Neal, turned their dream of building a wedding venue into a reality. Construction of The Cornealius Properties in Eastern North Carolina wrapped up in November 2021. Inspired by their daughter’s flower farm, this rustic-chic wedding venue is located on 90 acres of farmland and forests in Goldsboro – which is less than an hour outside of Raleigh. (and yes, you can use Brooke’s flowers for your special day!)
