The Grove at City Market is a wedding and rehearsal dinner venue in downtown Raleigh. In 2022, the team from Market Hall opened this sister property as a place to house intimate events. Plus, it features the largest outdoor patio event space in downtown Raleigh.
Discover this historic speak-easy-inspired venue nestled among romantic cobblestone streets in Raleigh’s City Market district. It provides an intimate space ideal for up to 100 guests for a seated reception. However, host 150 guests for a cocktail-style event.
The Grove at City Market features three distinct event spaces:
The Willow – This room is perfect for your ceremony space or cocktail hour lounge.
The Grove – This lush outdoor ceremony and cocktail area features a grove of trees, market lights, a fire pit and lounge and is large enough to also be the site you say “I do.”
The Oak Room – Speakeasy vibes and vintage lighting in a modern-industrial reception space.
This cozy venue includes onsite catering from Executive Chef Chris Hill who dishes up fresh, elevated Southern favorites. Chef Chris is also the man behind the menu at the sister property next door, Market Hall.
The Grove at City Market is uniquely positioned next to the cobblestone streets of Raleigh’s City Market. Naturally, this makes for the most stunning wedding party photos or post-ceremony pics in the heart of downtown Raleigh!
Long ago, City Market was the heart of downtown Raleigh. Market Hall was the state’s first farmer’s market. And next door, The Grove was once a blacksmith shop. Horse and buggy drivers could head into this shop for horseshoe repair! Later, this building became a furniture store, a brewery, and then a restaurant. (Does anyone remember High Horse?)
At last, The Grove has found its destiny as an intimate event venue among the cobblestone streets of City Market!
