If you are a couple who values the story behind the place where you are to say, “I do,” then The Parlour at Manns Chapel is a must-see. In recent years, the historic chapel was refurbished and converted into one of the best intimate wedding venues in Chapel Hill. In fact, owners Aimee Flynn and Yvette Navarro have a special motto:
Love Big, Love All, and Celebrate Small!
Heart of NC Weddings adores this venue, has a longstanding relationship with them. We have hosted our own launch party event here. Also check out The Parlour’s recent guest blog on Heart of NC Weddings, all about how to host a wonderful, small wedding!
This is our favorite intimate wedding venue in Chapel Hill. Here, host a wedding for up to 100 guests.
The interior of this historic chapel lends itself to warm, intimate seated dinner receptions. Admire original wooden floors and stained glass windows. Its cozy interior is perfect for a chapel ceremony, or reception dinner.
Alternately, the outdoor garden patio can be used as the ceremony space. Or, get creative! Incorporate it into cocktail hour, or for post-dinner dancing under a tent, or the stars!
In 2021, the team at The Parlour greatly expanded its outdoor space. Now, there is a huge garden area. Your guests will love wandering this area. Consider setting up buffet stations or games on this side of the property. You’ll also love the photo opp walls.
The Parlour at Manns Chapel now offers in-house planning. Please note, it is not required to book a planning package. But, this is a great way to have a fully-inclusive experience! The owners carefully selected their in-house team.
The Parlour would like to introduce a unique wedding suite. Add-on the Argosy Airstream to make your day even more memorable. This beautifully restored airstream features a private dressing area, luxurious velvet seating and curtains, gown racks, and storage for accessories.
So, surprise your wedding party with a truly special place for hair and makeup application. Or, envision a sweet dessert camper or spectacular photo backdrop during your event. Since there is also an indoor getting ready suite, there is ample space for the couple to prep for the day.
This chapel was stablished in 1887 and later decommissioned in 1985. Today, this charming chapel still holds a soft spot in the hearts of the surrounding community. Abandoned but not forgotten, some saw the chapel as “too far gone” but the creative team behind this project celebrated restoring this old building, like saving an old friend. It is here in the heart of Chatham County where we dream up ideas, romanticize everything and host events where every detail is beautifully thoughtful and unique. The chapel is sweet and simple; unpretentious yet tastefully elegant. Not your traditional catering hall or trendy meeting space – here style and tradition is celebrated uniquely.
Thanks to much thoughtful re-purposing, the chapel is living her second life and is our one-of-a-kind space for spirited events, creative workshops, markets, and business meetings – for consultations, fittings, book signings, chef dinners, and a truly unique setting for film & photo.
